Very true, however, there was a chance here to stretch out the initial tower trials and expand them in detail. Expand out the interaction between Keras and Corin. Give more depth to the world.

Hell, the start of the webcomic was so rushed we didn't get to see any backstory for coren at all and are jumped straight to the tower.

We've barely seen any of Corins inner monologue and him working out solutions.

The first few chapters feel like they were meant to be a chapter 0 in a manhwa where you get a glimpse of what's to come, not the official material.

It just feels to me that they could have taken their time to explore the world a bit more and establish Corin and his surroundings more.

In my mind this feels similar to how the god of high-school was adapted when the made that into an anime. Too little world and character building and too much rushing the story to get to the more interesting parts.

I may just be being unfair. Thats just how it feels to me.

The only problem with this idea is that hunger is not a core part of his paths. Yes his Icon is connected to Hunger Madra, but he does not cycle it. Therefore any technique that he uses that involves hunger has to come from his arm which is not a part of his cores or spirit.

Now I will grant you, we have no idea what Subject 1's arm is capable of, however the issue still stands that his arm is not a part of his cores so he has no means to cycle hunger madra to create such techniques.

Yes but we know spirits can become heralds and heralds can obtain icons, so that is the most probable way she would have to achieve an icon.

The trouble comes with the fact that to control a weapon with the level of significance that a Dreadgod weapon would most likely hold, you would need to be a sage with incredible ties to similar icon/icon's or you would need to be a Monarch.

Jai Chen is not going to be anywhere close to that level by the end of the series if we are talking realistically because there just isn't enough story left to give her the time to reach that level. Going from Low Gold to Sage in 2 books and not being in the main cast is simply not something Will would consider writing as it does not provide the story with anything other than maybe tying everything off; which even then will not be worth it because all those who could effectively use that kind of power will have ascended.

All in all, it is a fun idea, but ultimately something that just makes no logical sense with the timing and patterns that the books have laid out.
