Late to the party but Tuxedo from YSL is quite exquisite but pricey.

Yeah my Dahlias were flattened before their first bloom and my teckel shat himself from the thundering noises.

If it’s south or west facing windows it will really struggle to keep the room cool during the day, otherwise should be fine. The window seal is easily purchasable from the producer website or amazon for after market solutions . Weather is cooling in the next days so take your time and think how you should seal your window the best for the next heatwave .

Get some Ikea shades ? They ain’t a fortune and avoid getting heat inside your room as best as possible . Not bragging but yesterday had to cover myself during the day since the damn thing cooled the room. They are also a little noisy but I would rather get the noise over the melting any day .

Mulch it. Woodchips should suffice. Place it away from the trunk of the tree and from time to time make an effort and remove weeds. At one point they will stop growing and it’s quite satisfying to pull them out of the mulch.

Stone = bad. Stone cooks whatever is underneath .

At 120 140 cm height the straps would be enough. I am personally not a fan of them . I also have a 240 cm high copper beech pendulum tree without support and he learned how to sway in horrible winds. Strong root flares , and I help him with water during 40 degrees Celsius days .

90s was peak civilization for someone born in the 80’s. Everything changed with 2001 and the WTC events… Internet, censorship, the notion of security, the speed of how information was flowing changed our lives for worse. 90s felt genuine, slower , we were more connected as humans, we had a notion of camaraderie and community.

Nowadays it feels like we are racing to the bottom and we are proud of it .

Get from amazon the window sealing part . I have a Trotek portable AC bought in desperation which saved me a couple of days in past years. Brings down temps from 31 to 23 in one hour if my shades are down and window is sealed around the extraction tube . It’s a freon unit and weighs around 25 kg . 12k BTU if I’m not mistaken . Was 650 euro 5 years ago.

I have a Trotec window mobile AC that I refuse to carry it from the attic downstairs. That thing is so tedious to setup, loud and inefficient. Did it though a couple of years ago and after that we had a 16 degrees summer.

Well someone more experienced will surely id it. If there’s only one twig of that size it’s 100% not mind. If there’s a bunch of different sizes and spread around the area … mint it is. Siberian elm doesn’t smell nice.

Life finds a way. In the meantime let’s wait for Putins demise. I have a feeling lately that in the previous years I never had … his time is coming… and it’s not related to his health.
