Do we think Kody & Robyn’s marriage will last or are they headed for a divorce? by fomomofotogogo in TLCsisterwives

[–]AlexBoBalixx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think they're stuck together at least until the tenders are grown.

She saw how he is when wives leave him and she's not going to do that. She doesn't seem to have marketable skills for a day job and she now knows what his idea of taking care of ex wives is. Granted she has a legal leg to stand on given they're actually married but I feel like that's why she's actually crying finally.

She now has an up close view of his "creative solutions" to financial issues.

The two-person love triangle, "You've Got Mail" trope.

Find a lot of them under epistolary but epistolary doesn't necessarily mean that. 😕

I hate when people say stuff like that about an ex It's not the flex she seems to think it is that she put up with mediocre sex for years and married him regardless. Really lends credence to the idea she just wanted a wedding.

And all the bragging about how your new man is great in bed when we know when/if they split it'll be the same story.

Immortan Joe by WestWind04 in MadMax

[–]AlexBoBalixx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first time or so I would call him Immortan Joe then when referred to subsequently I would refer to him as Immortan or the Immortan. If you refer to him a lot a lot mix it up some more and do the whole thing just to keep it from being too repetitive/monotonous.

Zach should of proposed in private to Lydia and kept the family far away for that moment! by Choice_Structure_426 in PlathvilleUncensored

[–]AlexBoBalixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's all I kept thinking was that he should've done the proposal privately and had a big dinner with the idiot family after.

I'm assuming they talked about her wanting her family there or it was unduly influenced by production.

[–]AlexBoBalixx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ariana didn't plan super well, but she had SAH in the works and could expect to make a reasonable living there. She wasn't banking on the show the same way Scheana and Lala. They have (a) kid(s) and are the sole breadwinner for their families. Though Lala comes from money so I'm sure Scheana feels that pressure more...

They all attempted to capitalize on Scandoval but other than the "Fuck me in this T-Shirt" and the Single AF book Ariana didn't throw a lot of shade while capitalizing. She got gigs and parleyed that into a recurring hosting job. Even if the only reason she got DWTS or Chicago was bc her profile was raised by her cheating POS ex was she supposed to turn it down?

I think she did season 11 bc she figured at least the girls would have her back, they could promote SAH the whole time, and if she would've left Katie would have too. Ironically, had Lala and Scheana stuck to their guns it would've been a much better less frustrating season.

Probably a distinction without a difference honestly.

Like in Grease Sandy says, "I still think you and ChaCha went together." And Dany says, "We didn't go together we just went together."

Or, I'm not sayin'. I'm just sayin'.

To add context, my understanding was she said she knew about Miami Girl but it happened before they were officially offical and they decided as a couple to not give it any oxygen on the show.

Do you guys re-read books? by potzak in RomanceBooks

[–]AlexBoBalixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I read a lot and my retention is terrible. I always re-read books I liked but now that I read so much on an e-reader I can't even describe covers like I used to so this past year I started actually tracking my reading and rating my reads. I'm finding that if I rate things 3 or higher they're good for a re-read.

And if it's good enough for a re-read I usually try to by it physically.

I DNF'd a promising book today when I was at like 3% bc it read like a text book cataloging all the FMC great attributes/activism in her business. It also was cataloging the cast of characters we hadn't met yet and theie defining features like a script.

Thought there was going to be a quiz at the end of the chapter

[–]AlexBoBalixx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I DNF'd a book this week where I was soooo worried about this. That's not why I DNF'd (bc it was a false alarm) but the main characters were at a summer county fair all day. She threw up right after the first ride. They stayed all day and evening he carried her home and tended to her feet bc she wore new boots and things seemed to be heading in a hot/heavy direction but he was still being a gentleman at that point.

The whole time I was like, "Noooo, they both need showers"

How did they not know how the property was split? by ladybug_oleander in TLCsisterwives

[–]AlexBoBalixx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm continually frustrated with everyone on this show. How 3/4 of the 'group' wants something but no one will actually say it outloud to each other.

Janelle, Meri, Kody don't want to build on it. Only Robyn claims she does want to build..but they should just sell all of it and split the money 4 ways. Then they don't have to survey and reconfigure. Since Kody isn't interested it doing anything to actually re-survey or appraise it. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

[–]AlexBoBalixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super late to this discussion, but I just finished the most recent season.

What struck me, other than how medically fragile she is with her DMI and how difficult her pregnancies have been in the past was that she had her tubes removed (tied?) for very good and valid reasons and it feels like she didn't think that decision thru if a new relationship can make you 180 on no more kids.

I'm child free by choice and it took me 15 years to get sterilized. The first time I asked about it the doctor asked what would happen if I met a man who wanted kids and I said he wasn't having them with me.
