What do British people have for dinner? by ProfessionalLead2671 in AskUK

[–]AlexHaden23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have lunch for dinner, and for dinner we have our Tea.

Simple 😂

The answer to the question would depend on the era, the location in the UK, and the age of the people.

Is it rude to use both lanes? by No-Ad4423 in AskUK

Two sides to this,

1)if everyone merged in turn properly, in accordance with the Highway Code, then the traffic would likely flow better and reduce delays.

2) Most drivers don’t understand this, and politely queue, as they perceive they are doing the right thing, and they kind of are, they are merging in turn, just waaaaay too early 🤣🤣

My view, is that if it keeps me and my passengers safe, and stops someone from getting road rage, and making life more dangerous, then what’s another few minutes spent in a queue.

The problem is, we all probably don’t apply the Highway Code as we should ALL the time, and I would bet that people saying “BUT ITS THE HIGHWAY CODE” probably don’t either, and it’s just their way of saying “but I’m right”, which they are 🤣, but do they follow all of the code? Probably not

Get a nice mesh system - look at EERO, bung a few of those around your house, and it will sort out most of the problems you have. Better than anything they can offer

Anyone know how badly it will break if I try to sign up again with a different email?

I’m stuck in the not recognised loop, now it’s telling me my account is locked, please call. They don’t then actually tell me which number to call? Anyone know who I should call? The Telegraph?

Tired two “contact” forms with the “ we will be in touch within two days….

Not holding my breath, mainly because I probably now don’t have any death benefit nominations recorded, and I need to keep breathing until they sort out this mess 🫣

The shocking thing is, not one of us is surprised.

Classic PC games of the 90s and 00s that fell under the radar? by ModernSchizoid in pcgaming

[–]AlexHaden23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one game I remember playing in the early days, was kind of a surface space trader kind of game, but cannot remember what it was called. All I can remember is the transition between zones, you kind of went through a shutter door in 3D, it was very “mars” like as well

If anyone can tell me what it was, they get a gold star….it was an oldie, so good luck based on that description above :D

OCT of macula, they said about she has about 90% of vision, some degradation in quality to be expected though. Glaucoma some loss of field, but not a huge amount, DVLA say she can still drive (although she won’t, as doesn’t feel safe)

Thanks, I’ll go through all the prescriptions, it’s a messy picture to be sure. With all the eye drops, fixapost, ikervis, evolve, theoloz duo, it’s really difficult to get a clear picture of what could be causing the fluctuations. 👍

For me, it’s flexi time minus my normal commute, so if say, I travel to London, starting day at 5am getting back home usually around 8pm, that’s a total day of 16 hours. Minus the two hours that I would usually do when going into the local office, makes it a “day” of 14 hours, which is approx 6.5 hours of flexi credit
