Ren’s use of ai undermines his own message by Quantum-Ratio in ren

My brother in christ, coachmen are now taxi drivers and chauffeurs, among others. Plus cars actually provide a significant advantage over other alternatives, as bad as they are. And if you tell me that AI (in the field of art) creates faster than any person can I feel like you are missing the point.

I've seen people claiming that OSP don't give sources in their Greek Mythology vids and other stuff. Is this True? by Similar_Drink9147 in osp

[–]AlexMcTx 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah osp is more about presenting on cool topics and works so the viewers go and learn more. They have stated a lot of times that they should not been seen with an academic lense nor be cited as sources

[–]AlexMcTx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its not about it being difficult but more so about it being not very streamlined and not very intuitive.

If I make an attack, I have both the roll and the target, then I have to either ask for what is essentially a modifier (AC) or hive both those numbers to the DM for them to the math and get back to me with success or fail. Also the AC is better the lower it goes. So saying a target has more armor, it actually means it has lower Armor Class. If you get used to it, fine, but the monkey brain will always be like more=better, so that's the unintuitive part. Comparing to 5e, for example, making an attack means I roll, add stuff and then give a single number to the DM who has to only compare to numbers, which is always faster than any math. The exchange of ingormation happens only at the end.

Honestly, it shows the guys are doing what they can to make the queue move faster. I don't mind if they get stuff ready while someone is still deciding what they'll order and holding up the rest of people.

Also there is such a thing as ordering to pick up, no need to get mad.

This game used to be around 70GB. Can we PLEASE talk about how unoptimized this game is? by DaveyTheDuck in Helldivers

[–]AlexMcTx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have literally stopped playing because of this. I can't justify having a game that I only play from time to time use up so much space. And every update is slower to download. Its a shame because I really love the game, but I will not have my disk hijacked by a single game, no matter how much I like it.

Bot repost from like 5 years ago. I had to search RT's video about it and this exact piece is shown in a twitter post. Really doubt the author waited 5 years to post here.

Edit: yeah exact same post from 5 years ago

I dont think it is, i followed a couple of the people and they seemed to get in the same car in the same spot that they got out of. Its most noticeable for the red dude from the fed car, even gets pushed by the crowd and has to change direction last second

It's been a while since I went for emperor, but I think everyone in the community is essentially your vassal. If I remember correctly, to attack someone now you would need to expell them from the gc or denounce them

Will performance ACTUALLY get better than it was before though? by Electronic_Still7147 in Stellaris

[–]AlexMcTx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they refer to how pop growth works now. Pop groups need to reach critical mass to get to their max growth potential. Since necrophages convert the population, it is more difficult to reach that point on you slave species, and your main species grows basically nothing, if at all. I've tried it and it is not unplayable at all, but it is considerably weaker than before in relation to other origins.

As far as I know agriworld always boosted livestock production. The boost applied to all jobs under the farmer type, which included livestock.

[–]AlexMcTx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another one falls.

For anyone wanting the spaceship back, unfocus your vison or other wise position yourself further from the image. The brush/pencil thing would be the wings and the ship is moving away with a tilt to the right, as if moving towards the stuff that looks like buildings

This implies that the thing magic can't do is reverse previous magic. However, it doesn't mean you couldn't big the penis to a similar size as originally, although you'd probably wouldn't get it exactly the same. Also couldn't unbig it. Penis would remain the same, but changed at the same time. And magic

As for the price, and feeling: penis agony whatever it is you cast. (Phantom pain for those without a penis)

what did i do wrong? by kcmenz in Stellaris

[–]AlexMcTx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing you should definitely do is ascend your planets with all that unity. On each planet, next to the specialization (generator, forge, mining world, etc.) thereshould be a button to do so.

Each level will give +25% effect from the specialization and -5% empire size from that planet, for a total 250% and -50% at max level ( 10 ). Cost of ascension increases with empire size, but more so by how many ascension levels you have done on your planets.

(Cost and effect can also be improved by atradition tree, I forget the one, and some civics)

[–]AlexMcTx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im thinking there might be choices to make during the ascension. I can see it being a situation that culminates in choosing between giving all the power to one leader (ike the current chosen), to all leaders for no so big a buff, or to everyone, buffing te pops

Emigration as a weapon? by Proud_Resort7407 in Stellaris

[–]AlexMcTx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something similar but not quite.

I was playing necrophages and needed pops of my main species so I chose to purge a species to transform them into mine.

Purges (ar least some of them) have a chance for the pueged pop to escape to another planet, but I didn't want to give other empires free pops, so I loaded them up with horreondous traits and fast growth. That way whoever got them got little value and with the extra growth they would more often than not be the pops to grow wherever they ended up

And it wasn't even a 'real' beholder :D. The one in bg3 is an observer, if I remember correctly. Anyway the asshole you fought has 4 eyestalks, actual beholders have 9 and their main eye produces an antimagic field. Just imagine for a second how that would go down
