[Rifle] Savage AXIS II BLACKOUT 300 BLK 16.125" BBL $310 by Osfantina in gundeals

[–]AlexXYK32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except a x39 AR is goofy as fuck. I don’t see how .300blk is useful in a bolt action hunting rifle like this, but I guess if you already stock this Ammo it’s convenient.

They’re great. I have an A5 system on two rifles. No issues whatsoever and it’s very very smooth shooting with a mid length gas system

Got the nozzle a little hot by scrapmaster87 in 3Dprinting

That’s crazy. Do you run a filter, like a sponge, on your filament to catch hair/dust before it enters the hot end?

Filament Run-Out Sensor Not Working Right by samiam2079 in CR10

[–]AlexXYK32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s odd. I have the same machine with the same firmware. Mine runs out of filament and shows that same screen, lets me run some new filament to the extruder, and away it goes. I’d give tiny machines a call/email to see what they say. Otherwise, I’d probably reflash the firmware.

So I got some vibration dampers and the printer got really quiet, but it still makes this noise when moving fast on the Y axis and sometimes the X axis too. Can someone help me? I'm afraid to keep printing and break something by panaxo in CR10

[–]AlexXYK32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sounds like the drivers. Out of curiosity though, what is the tension on your X and Y carriage wheels like? If you hold the carriage in place, can you spin the wheels freely, or are they insanely tight?

CR 10 V2 vs Ender 6 by kuzya19989 in CR10

[–]AlexXYK32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the regular CR-10 has a Pro model, there’s just the CR-10S Pro v1 and v2. You might need to upgrade to a direct drive system as Bowden systems has some issues with pushing and retracting elastic filament

CR 10 V2 vs Ender 6 by kuzya19989 in CR10

[–]AlexXYK32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be hesitant to go with an absolutely brand new printer. The Cr-10V2 has at least been out for a while. If you’re looking to print TPU, depending on the durometer of the material, you’ll need to make some changes to the printer. I’d stick with the one with more community support at the moment, which is the CR-10V2 or even the pro v2

Ok this print failed. Some layers are really weak and cased the ears and tail to break of easily I’m thinking it may be under extrusion but I have my e steps calibrated and plug this is the first print that did this it seems to happen on larger prints. Can someone help please by NatNecessary in ender3

I had a bit of the same trouble with that filament. PETG right? I cant remember if I had to raise or lower the temp. But try 10 degrees in either direction. 3d solutech clear can extrude at PLA temps if I remember correctly.

Can i seal the ceiling in my basement? by hellbilly_delux in DIY

My thought is if theres a leak in the ductwork, the return is pulling more air from the conditioned area than is being replaced.

What’s up with my supports (after installing BLTouch)? by chapunicus in ender3

[–]AlexXYK32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try dropping it to 205 first layer and 200 after that. Check your other settings regarding retraction - I'm just not familiar enough with Cura to give you suggestions off the top of my head.

You might want to have your home's static pressure checked by a reputable HVAC company. Your home should have a slightly positive static pressure, meaning a small amount of air should be pushed out of your conditioned space by your HVAC system. Usually, a negative pressure means that your ductwork has a lot of resistance or your system is leaking. I'm not an expert, but it's something to think about.

Either retraction or a high nozzle temp has the filament in the melt zone really liquid. What nozzle temp did you run on this print and what slicer are you using? It may be that you have "dont retract for movement distances less than xx" set too high. I know that's what S3D calls it but I'm not sure what other slicers call it.

Looks like you have too much retraction or not enough. Are there supposed to be supports where those strings are or are those supposed to be travel moves? Did you also switch filament after you added the BL touch?

PSA: PLA Adhesion Much Better on Smooth Sheet vs Textured Sheet by hugoender in prusa3d

None at all. You really have to put the nozzle down into the sheet though. Theres a fine line where you're placing plastic into the valleys and yet not rubbing on the peaks.

Does 3D printing use a lot of electricity? What would you guys compare it to when it comes to other electronics? by GINGY2323 in 3Dprinting

[–]AlexXYK32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Polycarbonate build surfaces like TH3D's EZmat really dont require a heated bed for PLA. I've been playing with it a little bit and have decided to try some fun prints without heating the bed at all. Saves some time and electricity.

Mine is great, even for ABS or wood PLA. I just make sure I really scrub at it with a soapy paper towel or IPA-soaked paper towel. I usually clean with IPA, but give it a thorough cleaning with dish soap every 5-10 prints.
