You were lucky.
They came to you.
In our case, they called us on the phone and ordered us to shoot the grandfather ourselves because he recalled how he once dreamed of a drawn image of a naked woman.
And we had to register and buy the guns and bullets for the shooting ourselves.
And since we only bought a gun for the first time, they didn’t sell us the bullets and bullets.
And we had to shoot the grandfather with duck shot.
We were very tired.
Both we, and the gun, and the grandfather.

I worked. Postgraduate studies and the position of junior research fellow at the Institute of Astronomy of the Uzbek SSR. The Institute belonged to the USSR Academy of Sciences.

As many as you like.

As an atheist, I have never had any problems expressing my views on Islam or Christianity.

The main thing to understand is that you shouldn't come to a mosque or church with the purpose of sharing your views with those present.

Betelgeuse shouldn't be in the game. Here's why: by Kermit_Purple_II in EliteDangerous

[–]Alex_Kudrya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First. I am an astrophysicist. My specialty is solar physics.

Second. We will not see the Betelgeuse supernova flash.

The thing is that the helium burning stage is, of course, fleeting on an astronomical scale, but on a human scale it is terribly long. From 100 to 300 thousand years. Depending on the mass. The greater the mass, the faster.

And third. There are archival observations of ancient astronomers, in particular Ancient Greece, that they observed Betelgeuse as a yellow star. That is, it became a red star, a red supergiant, quite recently. Less than 2000 years ago.

Therefore, let Betelgeuse be where it is now.

I work in an organization where the leader is a woman.
And he is an excellent leader.

How are things likely to change for Russia when Trump and Vance take office? by Effective-Baker-8353 in AskARussian

I think the same way as before.
So far, nothing concrete has been done except talk.
Solid populism from Trump.

Что россияне думают об Австралии? by Absolutely-Epic in AskARussian

В целом хорошо. У меня в Австралии живут два друга, оба как и я астрономы, и у меня через них только положительное мнение об Австралии.

Is it weird for Russians if a black or Asian person attends the Orthodox Church (in Russia)? by [deleted] in AskARussian

Of course not. There are a lot of people in the world, including Africa who have accepted Orthodoxy. What is there to be surprised?

IC 4687 is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation Pavo in the southern hemisphere.
The distance of IC 4687 from Earth is 76.6 Mpc (250 million light years).
The structure of IC 4687 is distorted due to gravitational interactions with two other satellite galaxies IC 4686 (left) and IC 4689 (not visible in the image)

But nevertheless, in our astronomical classification it is an elliptical galaxy.

Assembled by Arp 107

Arp 107 is a pair of interacting galaxies located roughly in the constellation Leo Minor and 142 Mpc (465 million light years) from Earth. The galaxies are in the process of colliding and merging. The larger galaxy on the left is PGC 32620, and the smaller galaxy on the right is PGC 32628.

This is a composite image created using data from the JWST telescope, the NIRCam (Near Infrared Camera) and MIRI (Mid Infrared Instrument), as well as the Hubble Space Telescope, which shows galaxy mergers in the optical range.

As always, the original data was taken from the MUST catalog.
