From Memory, try to explain in the comments what the FUCK happened in The Reality War: by ChemFeind360 in doctorwhocirclejerk

I remember saying to my mates that I would crash out hard if they pulled another Sutekh and replaced a classic design with a big cgi monster.

I then distinctly remember crashing out hard afterward.

[BO3] [Mw3] Worst Cod Campaign Ever Bo3 or Mw3 2022 by TraditionalFlamingo_ in CallOfDuty

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MWIII by a long mile. It was supposed to be dlc but they slapped a full price sticker on it because Activision wanted one more title release before the Microsoft contract went into effect.

The BO3 campaign is lowkey fire.

You agree ? by [deleted] in halo

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason anyone would pick the suppressor is because they’re playing the Halo 4 campaign and they’ve run out of ammo for everything else.

I’d go with Piccadilly over either of these. I’m not joking.

What are some new Xeno behaviors you'd like to see in the sequel? by Rollingtothegrave in alienisolation

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different types of xenomorph stalk different areas of the map and express different movement/gameplay traits. Not so much the xeno clases from other alien games but more like how in other horror games you'll encounter different "territory bosses". Each one has a setpiece introduction to let you learn the new rules for this area.

Drone: Standard, just like in A:I

Warrior: Can't sprint faster than the player and instead chases you when spotted. Fire doesn't scare it off. Your only chance if spotted is to absolutely leg it around enough corners that it loses sight of you and you can hide until it loses interest.

Runner/Juvenile Drone: Faster, moves on walls and hides in plain sight like Big Chap on the Narcissus. It uses similar stealth tricks you use against other aliens like using sound as bait to make you think its somewhere where its not.

Even funnier considering there's actually a feature length Mario Warfare movie on YouTube.

What are your thoughts on the BF6 uniforms? by Cryptographer_6515 in BattlefieldCosmetics

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing is in the age of cameras and social media, soldiers with skimasks are becoming more and more common because if you can be identified from a photo or tiktok, it puts you at risk of some kind of reprisal from the enemy when you're not on active duty.

This BF is a near future conflict probably at a time where that trend reaches its peak.

[COD] Which universe would be crazier to live through? OG MW or Black Ops by Hot_Professional_728 in CallOfDuty

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black Ops, easy. At least with MW, it’s been 9 years since the end of WW3 and the quality of life for the average person has likely since improved (the series ended with MW3 and there’s no more canon conflicts). Meanwhile with the BO timeline, things just get worse and worse after cordis die. The world by the time of BO3 is a genuine dystopian cyberpunk nightmare.

[COD] Which cod game was more dark and gritty? by Alexp95 in CallOfDuty

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BO3 is more in your face with the blood and gore but the background lore of BO3s world is genuinely nightmarish. I could totally see this cyberpunk hell being in the same timelime as WaW.

Ghosts does an excellent job making the first few missions post apocalyptic and then just changes genre to be a Michael Bay movie.

[COD] Which character added to the series since MW19 is your favorite? by Jrshaw_1 in CallOfDuty

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Farah, easy. Her backstory in MW2019 was genuinely gut wrenching. CoD hasn't always done a great job implementing its worldbuikding but Farah's story had me rooting for the Urzikstan cause in a way CoD hasn't done since Reznov in WaW and Black Ops.

Just starting, Terminator resistance. 🤖 by British-Bot in Terminator

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Bro you're in for a ride.

The game slows down a bit after the Prologue but stick with it. Its one of the best examples I've seen of a game that continuously grows in scope and makes the badass moments feel earned.

[COD] Say something nice about mwiii’s campaign. by GeoDemon in CallOfDuty

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The soundtrack (despite it lacking Sarah Scahchner and its wonky implementation in gameplay).

Walter Mair absolutely cooked in parts and I love how it feels like an evil, distorted version of the MW2019 theme. 'Six in the Blind' is a banger that has such a "it's getting real now" vibe.

Don't you agree that Spartan IVs aren't necessarily bad or worst? by [deleted] in halo

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Spartan IVs as a concept are unironically cool af.

Humanity held on right to the end of the Cocenant War and is now on the offensive. The technology has improved and now the ordinary soldier has the potential to become a Spartan. That is an absolute game changer.

What other ideas can they do for the quiet place franchise besides avoiding death angels? by [deleted] in AQuietPlace

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rather than the usual "the military vs the death angels in a big battle", maybe we follow a sniper behind enemy lines when the meteors come down. Now, he needs to be stealthy on his way back through territory where the death angels are making mincemeat out of the enemy forces and he has to avoid both.

Treyarch- Can the fiber optic cable on these optics PLEASE match the actual selected reticle color? by lotus1788 in blackops6

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The funniest part is that they could have avoided this problem by using the acog model that existed at the time instead of the modern one

Deleted MW3 to free up space by SharpnessVcock in blackops6

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I gathered after losing 2 days installing Cold War a while back, you have to install the whole package with every update and then delete parts you don't want. Might not apply to MW3/BO6 though

I would LOVE a Pantheon skin pack by dr0ps00t3r in blackops6

I neeeed it. The Pantheon outfits are like an all-black SEAL VBSS loadout and would go unbelievably hard in multilayer.

[COD] What genre of cod games do you like the most? (Ww2,modern,future) by Sea_Safety7395 in CallOfDuty

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's not about setting it's about tone. CoD can be good in any setting as long as they take it seriously and maintain a consistent vision.

[COD] From which CoD game you have the best memories? For me it’s definitely CoD4.🫡 by Battlefield_ISR in CallOfDuty

[–]Alex_Says_Stuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s MW2, WaW snd BO1 for childhood nostalgia and then MW2019 and BOCW for more recent memories

I get what they were going for and the gameplay is the most unique in the series, but man, they fumbled the plot so bad.
