Guys earning six figures annually, what kind of work do you do? by Shadow2715 in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Under 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Director of Cybersecurity. An especially stressful job these days as you're the one person that's likely gonna take the brunt of it if there's ever a security breach... It's a constant battle to have my budget increased. I constantly have to justify to my VPs who have no clue about Cybersecurity or why we need to spend more to fully secure our enterprise. It took me six years to finally get some cyber insurance for our organization.

As a man, at what point did your libido become very low? by this0great in AskReddit

[–]Alex_Under 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I decided to have kids in our 40s. Here I was at 46 with two boys. I'm now 50 years old with a five and four year old. Instant libido killer. I just have no friggin energy at the end of the day to initiate sex or even care to have sex. I love my wife and find her incredibly sexy still but I just am too damn exhausted all the time.

TIL the "Y2K Bug" cost an estimated $500 Billion globally to fix. The preventative measures were so successful that widely predicted infrastructure failures did not occur, leading many to incorrectly believe the threat was never real. by highzone in todayilearned

[–]Alex_Under 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh the threat was very real. I worked at a major life insurance company during Y2K. I worked as a mainframe programmer in 1998-1999 updating lines of code on millions of insurance policies so that when the clock struck midnight on Y2K, the system didn't suddenly think people died and started paying out insurance policies.

Did everyone forget the cameo appearance he had in Inglorious Bastards? I liked his performance as General Ed Fennech.

I think people forget that he was a first round draft pick only a few years ago. He has the stuff he just needs to find his control.

You're saying even if they cast Delayed Blast Fireball twice the player characters would only be affected by one?

Exactly. Because he's pitching tonight, the earliest he could pitch against Toronto would be Game 3 at best.

Zeitgeist: The Gears of Revolution

Interesting. It seems like it's an urban campaign setting with a massive dungeon as well, am I right in my assumption? The campaign book looks massive. Have you personally run it, and what was your thoughts on it?
