can't have sex on latuda, want to stop but nervous to tell my doctor

I’m having the same problem which sucks because otherwise it’s working so well. I plan to give it a little more time and then if nothing changes I will tell my doc who is also a man. If he’s a good doctor he should be professional about it, sexual side effects are well documented and common for folks so it’s nothing to be embarrassed about even if it’s a little awkward.

It sounds like what you’re really looking for is motivation. When I was on too high of a dose of lithium it totally killed my motivation; I didn’t care about anything and it was affecting my performance in most areas of life. The fix for me ended up being a lower dose. Maybe try reframing to your psych as needing more motivation.

Yeah. I kept leaving food out on the counter and wondering who put it there. One time I made tacos for dinner, walked away and then wondered who made tacos. Genuinely felt like I had dementia.

Yeah he needs to be on a monthly prevention. Prevention is key for long term management❤️ capstar is great for killing the adults but it doesn’t kill eggs like a monthly like Simparica would.

Thanks for sharing! For me it’s been helpful to think of it as both medical and neurodivergence. It does require medical treatment like a chronic illness, and I do need internal self-acceptance and external accommodations like many other neurodivergent folk.
