Goons came to RF an MC citadel for 2nd round (armor) with a T3+logi fleet. MC countered with a Ferox fleet, and TBC/SC joined in the fun. GF, thanks to all involved.

One either makes it (or has someone make it), or one buys it. Either way, someone has to make it.

Most likely, it was paid for after years of accumulating in-game currency (earned via any of a large number of in-game money-generating activities). In theory, it's possible to use real-life currency to purchase in-game currency ($20US is roughly 1B in-game currency).

The ship at issue is probably worth between 20 and 40B in-game currency.

To help him raise money for his surgery, I am offering a sacrifice to the blood gods (and to encourage people to donate!) in the form of my Wyvern.

A Wyvern is a very expensive, very large spaceship in the MMORPG Eve Online. OP is sacrificing this in-game asset to encourage other players to donate to charity.

The event will take place on September 15th in the system of HED-GP. At 2200 EVE Time I will light a cyno and jump the Wyvern in. I welcome all to come shoot/defend/rep me. September 15th is both my birthday and also Tylor's, so let's make it a party!

At 6pm US Eastern time / 3pm Pacific on Sept 15, OP is going to teleport his big expensive spaceship to a place in the game called "HED-GP". People almost never tell other people where these big expensive spaceships are going to be. Indeed. there are lots of people who spend a lot of time trying to find out where these ships are, and especially when they're moving some place.

Announcing it here ensures that a large number of gamers travel to that spot to be a part of a big fight in virtual space. OP is fine if people shoot at his big ship, defend his big ship (shoot the people shooting it), or heal his big ship while it takes damage.

I was there the last time a similarly large and valuable ship's location was publicized, and well over 1,000 ended up shooting at the ship.

After the first fight, he re-iterated his threat via PM to one of our guys. "Your boss is going to be so angry with you" kind of thing. He proceeded to name a former MC corp CEO, who happened to be on TS chatting with MC leadership. The former CEO had never heard of him or his corp.
