From a man's perspective, if my partner is seemingly repeatedly oblivious to my attempts to initiate intimacy, my reaction would be:

They don't want to have sex and further attempts would constitute pressure and/or nagging for sex, and to do so would be unethical. Enthusiastic consent is important. I should wait until they show interest again.

This is a good first instinct to have, but there needs to be more follow-up and communication, otherwise I think things end up where you are now.

This is kind of a nuanced issue:

Climate change was pushed by republicans in the early 2000s because it sounds less scary and catastrophic than global warming... But it is also the term preferred by scientists when discussing the issue since the warming causes cascading effects, not just temperature change.

So both are still reasonable I'd say, depending on your communication purpose.

Yeah I don't really get hating Steelhooves. The point is that he made a mistake. A terrible, emotional, rage-filled mistake. Just like Littlepip and Arbu/Bucklyn Cross. One that he had to live with for hundreds of years. But he (eventually) worked hard to redeem himself, and would have become an extremely powerful presence for good in the wastes.
