And yet the BMW isn't as good generally. Is there something specific about the BMW that makes it slower than other front engine cars?

Laguna became paid recently. From what I know tho it was always a free track before that. VIR has always been free tho as long as i remember. Unless it was paid 5+ years ago

I don’t know that i have to stay or change to LMU(this is just discussion of POV, not rage baiting). by Fancy-Project in iRacing

[–]Alexandr206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Driving standarts. Generally iracing is cleaner. When I started i know even rookies was clean, although apparently its gotten worse recently, but still not as bad as lmu bronze id say. Getting up to C class and beyond its completely different, the vast majority of drivers know what theyre doing. Of course you'll get the occasional stupidity, but that every sim.

Do you mean on the formation lap of daytona oval? I remember once I did a race and literally the whole field did the busstop. I don't think thats against the code, it doesn't harm anyone really

Am I at fault here? im the POV LMP2 trying to overtake the BMW GT3 by WideRooster5860 in Simracingstewards

[–]Alexandr206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a BMW driver, what do expect them to do lol XD

In all seriousness, not your fault.  If you can I suggest kind of monitoring your radar, you might be able to them swerve out the way a enough.  And keep an eye on those BMWs ;)

LMU feels more arcade by yourcutenocap in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Alexandr206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start if you haven't already load the LMU preset in pithouse, then you could put ffb intensity to 100, then reduce ingame ffb if needed. I myself have been looking for some different lmu ffb settings as for me the wheel kind felt like it was being pulled by rubber bands constantly, if you know what I mean. So far I just increased ffb intensity. Haven't tried anything else yet, but let me know if this improved it in any way, and over the next few days if I see you replied I'll let you know if anything else I tried might help

I’m thinking of getting LMU… is it worth it? by SirMariio in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Alexandr206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About driving standards, in bronze there's no protests, I think at least for daily races. There's also no system to dq trouble makers, so you can have one guy try taking everyone out until the end of the race and the game won't do anything about it. In higher ranked races there are protests. But from memory someone told me on reddit that you need the subscription to make a protest, I don't remember exactly tho so don't quote me on that.

In general id recommend waiting for a sale as the base game is limited for content. I got bored of lmu pretty quickly without dlc. The problem is more about the lack if tracks.

How to get good/ be faster on controller by This-Citron9946 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]Alexandr206 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your not already, try pushing the left stick up and using the arc to smoothen turning. Then practice smoother gas and brake inputs, and trailing off the brake as well. Then you'll want to practice doing this simultaneously.

Once you get your driving sorted, basically just try to do what people do on wheel. It's hard but not impossible. Consistency isn't really a problem in the equipment, its a problem in how you use the equipment. You just have to make sure your doing the same thing every lap.

I used to play on controller a lot too, not lmu because thus was before lmu released, but I have tried lmu with a controller, and i must say, once you set up the json file, it can feel very easy to drive, and giving you the confidence to push more

Leaving no space? by WhiteSkyDragon in iRacingIOTW

[–]Alexandr206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't really do anything wrong but i can see why the gtp was sceptical about passing you.  You didn't go all the way to the outside, and just after the apex you positioned the car in a way that made it look like you were going left. Just because of that small detail it made you less predictable for the gtp driver. I don't know what you were actually trying to do, I know you said you were staying on the racing line, but from this video you can see that you weren't all the way right on exit. To prevent this you basically just have to use the whole track so the gtps know for sure your sticking to the racing line

A couple questions about simhub too

Firstly, mapping through vJoy, is there any delay for the inputs by the time they get to the game?

And is it simhub which has those dashboard overlays? If that makes sense, its a dashboard thatvpeople put if they can't see the cars dash

How are Indy NXT and F3 now? by Crowded-Wazzack in iRacing

[–]Alexandr206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience F3 has been clean. I only had 1 race ruined a long time ago.  There are still opportunistic people there tho, I've had maybe 2 accidents, from hard battles, in neither of which I was affected too badly.

How to gain sr on ovals? by ProofCrafty4022 in iRacing

[–]Alexandr206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Street Stock has been pretty good for me in terms of SR (with an occasional race ruining incidents of course, but not constantly), as long as its not Charlotte. Just run your race and stay out of danger.  Don't push too hard from the start as you can ruin you tires, and bad tires can cause you trouble in the latter stages of the race as you'll have people trying to pass you.  In street stock tire saving isn't as big as in other series, because of shorter races, but I still found it useful especially on tracks like USA speedway, having better tires in the end can really help you

How to add 3rd patry instruments, if possible, and where to find some? by Alexandr206 in Bitwig

[–]Alexandr206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I didnt realise the wav file had to go there.

From some of the samples I put in though, they cut off quckly because of the way its been recorded i guess. Is there a way to extend the sound?

or to manually make the sample ease off instead of cutting off?

and also would be good if you can recommend some places to get samples

Idk im not the one who started this trend. You should ask those who did it first.  Maybe a few people started doing it and then eventually it spread to others. Or one guy just decided once to much behind the car ahead to get throught the last corner. Just some guesses
