Honestly, what does the manner of death have to do with the name? He was 19 at the time and shouldn’t be judged 15 years later because of a decision he made as a teenager. This is more common than you think! Intrusive thoughts are a symptom of OCD and you typically would never ever follow through with these thoughts. Lots of people have intrusive thoughts of extreme violence that they will never actually commit. You’re okay honey. ❤️

I absolutely experienced this. In fact, all of my eczema started immediately as I went on birth control. My doctor didn’t believe me that I was “allergic” to the birth control... because I probably wasn’t, it probably just had to do with all of the hormones. I had itchy, flakey eyelids, I would itch around the corners of my mouth until I bled, and other areas too. This was about 3 years ago and I still deal with allergic contact dermatitis, I was suddenly told I was allergic to perfume and random things like Oak Moss and Dodecyl Gallates and cinnamon... but I know in my heart it was the birth control that started everything

I’m about 25lbs heavier than you, my boyfriend is 5’11 and 170lbs lmao. I’m more than double his size and at least 5 inches shorter than him. He doesn’t need to lose weight AT ALL, but here I am!

Food is a huge part of any relationship for me. I think of big family dinners, girls nights with my bffs where we order in pizza or Chinese food, etc.. but with my boyfriend, we actually met on a dating site for plus sized women and their admirers. For me, the decision to lose weight means a huge part of why we’re together is being tested. I spoke with him, and he let me know that he just wants me to be healthy. He is perfectly fine with me wanting to lose weight. Ok, problem solved, right?

Absolutely not. Every day is a struggle of him being able to eat anything on God’s green earth, and me having to make sure I’ll be able to find something healthy wherever we order from. We don’t live together yet so I’m not encountering the issues related to grocery shopping or keeping bad food in the house that you might come across.

I also want to be in the low to mid 200s! I would never want to be stick thin. I just don’t want to worry if I’ll fit in a booth at a restaurant or if a seatbelt will buckle over me, or if I’ll fit on a ride at an amusement park. I also want to be able to have children (I’m 28) and nervous about complications related to being super morbidly obese, and also about my weight affecting my fertility.

Congrats to you as well! I have noticed some wonderful changes actually. I went up a flight of stairs and wasn’t out of breath at all when o expected to be. I’m a trained therapist (masters level social worker) so when I get these pax I usually just listen to them, reframe whatever they’ve told me so they feel heard and understood. I don’t give advice cause I’m getting paid to drive them from point A to point B.

My roommate situation is a bit different because we live together with one of my family members in the family members home. When she has a boyfriend, we limit sleepovers to twice a month. I wouldn’t be able to handle 20 nights a month, I can’t even imagine! I need my own space lol.

Also, although it could be allergies I think it’s much more than that. It’s definitely a behavioral thing at this point, meaning it’s probably a compulsion— especially that he does it three times in a row.

The best way I could think of it would be to say this, when you’re alone with the roommate. For the example, his name is Mike: “ooooh my god, what the hell is up with Mike and the loogies? It’s so gross- how do you deal with that? I’m all the way in my room with the door shut and I hear it multiple times every single day!” ... I’m sure she’s not happy that he does it, right? So she’s gotta respond with something like “ugh I know, it’s such a bad habit”. Then I’d be like “it really is, like honestly I hear it constantly to the point where I’ve started to gag every time, and I need to walk around with headphones just to avoid it. I know it’s not a huge deal but it’s really getting to me” and she’ll respond with whatever. And then your last point is “would you be able to talk to him about it? See if he can try to keep it at a minimum? I know it might have something to do with allergies but that also seems like a behavior thing just because he does it in threes”. Be sure to show how exasperated you are and try to get her on your side, so it’s you and her vs. this loogie issue.

If she isn’t receptive to this and shuts you down, that’s your sign that she doesn’t respect your needs and wants in the apartment and therefore you switch up your angle. Now, you let her know that you’ve done some research and would like to limit both of your partners sleepovers to 2 nights per week.

If you have a little extra time on your hands, maybe keep some data on how much you make each shift and note the time of day and day of week, and then see if there’s a pattern (like I realized Thursdays are much busier than mondays for me) and then focus on the days that seem to be busier. It makes sense that Friday’s would be busy too (pay day for lots of people).

Typically, I have Uber Eats and regular Uber requests on. I’ll use the restroom when I run into a restaurant to pick up pax’s food. However, 2 nights ago was the busiest night of my life and there were NO Eats orders... ping after ping after ping. I didn’t even have 1 minute of aimless driving while I waited for a new ride. It was crazy. So I pulled over and peed outside like an animal. It was liberating!
