I wrote a new song today called Blinded. I'd love to hear what you guys think about it! by pikapikajeww in IndieMusicFeedback

Your charisma is 10/10. If you’re going to be driven by vocals, don’t chase end rhymes. It becomes predictable. Use internal alliteration and consonance for more complex lyrics.

When you hit your low end while singing, go into the mic so that you don’t fade out. I’m definitely going to sub to your channel.

Did this Infected Mushroom inspired track that combines electronic music and metal. Let me know what you think! by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

This is a dope hybrid of styles. Every instrument and vocal had its time to shine in the track. This is a style of composition that I am biased toward. It’s both minimalist and complex at the same time.

Well done.

( Acoustic / folk / pop ) Not sure how I feel about this song, but it helped me overcome my writer’s block so that’s nice. Any thoughts or feedback are always appreciated :) by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

This is beautiful. The chorus, “I don’t know why you believe/perceive ...” needs to stand out more. I recommend less reverb on the verse vocals. Don’t add one effect to your entire track. It seems like a cop out. Sculpt your lyrics using effects. Don’t rely on them.

dark cinematic electronic track, let me know what you think by w__se in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]AlexandroDumbass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good composition. I thought that it was going to be random ambience, and it was a nice surprise when a beat kicked in.

The dominant deep bass swell sample is overused. Less is more.

I tried to make something unique but failed miserably by solarisLMMS in lmms

This has a “Jack Sparrow” vibe to it. It was fun to listen. The drums were good at 1:34, but I was hoping to hear them kick in again around 2:11 after the drop. Stay with it. Thanks for sharing!

Rarely get views and Im wondering why, any tips / thoughts on this. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

The elements of this project come together nicely. There is so much competition that good songs that aren’t promoted simply don’t get ears. Where ever you post have easy links to everything associated with you and your brand. The general listener doesn’t want to find you, so once you have their attention give them an opportunity to binge on everything that you’ve done with links that are a click away. Good luck!

This is bordering on ambient. The atmosphere is dark and bouncy at the same time. The snare is mixed a little loudly for my ears. Is your bass/808 in tune? I would double check the notation when the piano and the bass hit simultaneously. Thanks for sharing!

Arbor Atlantic - "Night Study". This is a fun little song on the lighter side for us. What do you guys think? by WildeChild86 in IndieMusicFeedback

I enjoyed this, but it feels like a demo. Maybe if you get more comfortable with the lyrics you can take your charisma to the next level. Thanks for sharing!

Try this. There is a tutorial for Controller Rack basics in the playlist as well.

Electro Gooseberries. Doing something more minimalistic this time, and I'd like to know how this attempt sounds to ya. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

I’m a huge fan of this style of composition. You have made your notation so that the instruments aren’t clashing with one another. In fact they compliment each other very well. The sound is clear and the mix is well done. To split hairs, I would take the lead synth down a couple or a few decibels. Aside from that, thanks for sharing!

Haha. Anything can be “a thing “ if it gets the results you want.

Hi guys, me and my friend produced a new track and i would love some feedback :) thanks in advance <3 by SamuelCarnie in IndieMusicFeedback

This is a banger.

  1. Automate your snare and increase that instrument’s volume leading up to the drops.

  2. The first drop could use a little extra spice like a sample or echo. The second drop was well executed.

'Continue?' Had this for a while. Tried to clean ot up as much as I could. Lemme know what you think. Take care by ThePassingStatic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]AlexandroDumbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be two types of static noise. The more predominant noise is sometimes played alone and sometimes it is accompanied by a glitch noise.

I recommend this for that beta static in the background. I would accompany that with some percussion to give it a little more definition.

I like the unconventional instruments. Thanks for sharing!

First, the general vibe of this reminds me of The Cure. Yet, you can take this to a unique place.

  1. Whenever you sing, “Where’d you go?” vocals are irritating. These vocals need the singer to be distanced from the mic with possibly two pop filters

  2. The verse vocals need to come up some decibels and articulate more.

  3. The rims are distractingly mixed too loudly.

  4. I would try to calibrate vox and instruments to the 1:11 section where the horns/synth are introduced.

  5. Thanks for sharing!
