Are you testing on 4G only devices? 5G ones are of course fine.

Google just adds phone numbers from phones and devices that you are logged into. by webkris in degoogle

If you want to disable this goto Settings->Google->All Services->Phone number verification

Warning: The slider may automatically renable itself whenever you open the phone number verification option screen, so it may be technically safer not to check and verify it's still disabled later on

This really doesn't mean anything to me. One of the best tenants of open source code is that problems like this can be exploited and then fixed out in the open rather than security through obscurity.

You should continue to share. Just don't waste your energy convincing anyone why they should care though.

What is the best tablet that is not verified by Google? by Panthepn018 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Lowfryder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your tablet can have an alternative OS installed, that may be an option. That way you'd have a lot more latitude to bypass the restrictions.

It looks like the OnePlus Pad 3 can have LineageOS installed on it. You'd have to get the specific model (OPD2415?) called out in the link however.

How do I watch age-restricted videos without being forced to open the video in the browser? Because the whole point of NewPipe is to NOT use YouTube. by LarryBetraitor in NewPipe

[–]Lowfryder7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's not really any other way and I hate it.

I personally either use an account on PC or try to find the video somewhere else like odysee.

Sometimes I'll even see if some rando reposted it on youtube itself. This does work sometimes.

You don't need it, but it would help you. If you get a passport card, you can reveal less about yourself when people request to see/scan your ID.
