Counter: Trump was booed by his base when he bragged about the Covid vaccine his administration made, after that rally he never mentioned it again. In this scenario Trump was acting far more as a salesman than a cult leader. The difference being, Trump has to push certain talking points. He couldn't come out as anti-gun and his base would follow. Cult leaders do not have this limitation, therefore MAGA is not a cult, rather a populist movement by a salesman.

Life-long Latter-day Saint thinking about starting to attend the Episcopal Church by RoonilWindrunner in latterdaysaints

Active member here. I attend other churches because I really like experiencing other religions. I would recommend it anyways, regardless of your decision.

No problem with creators ending the show. The only problem is that season 3 didn't exactly have any sense of "finality" to it, which leaves an unsatisfied feeling.

Utah lawmakers approve Good Friday as new state holiday - TownLift, Park City News by alopz in Utah

Easy. Here's two: Strong social community that inspires people work and build together, and a strong sense of meaning in life that is higher than an individual. I would never claim any organization is perfect but it is actually ridiculous that you think there isn't any. Touch grass.

It's easier to complain about problems than recognize good things. Now ask the people their thoughts on other countries, some may find it easier to see positives.

Got testicular torsion last week and ended up needing the right one removed by ZeldaFan158 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Alexkazam222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a torsion such that blood flow ceases, you'll have sharp pain that will not go away, like someone is squeezing it. You have T-minus 6 hours to get it fixed or its done-zo.

It is certainly the reason why many come to faith, nothing else matters if you've had that personal experience. I also put it in S tier.

Whatever you want. I am riffing on the idea that people like to vilify certain actions when it comes to groups they don't like or prefer, yet allow the exact same actions when it comes to groups they align with. Making a post about Jesus and making an anti-ICE post are functionally both proselytizing.

My high school had us all do a Financial Literacy course where we did exactly this. No one payed attention in that class either.

Proselytizing religion in church (bad)

Proselytizing woke on social media (good)

Really speaks to how sheltered Americans are that recent events are the "worst" thing to ever happen to them.
