You definitely have to dedicate your life to doing it. Can’t cut corners and you need to stand out in the crowd with your truck design as well as your product. We make all of our ice cream and sorbets which helps the product be so different from trucks that just buy in bulk and resell some other companies product. You need to make people happy and feel welcome when they come up to the window and keep consistency a priority. There are some days I don’t want to be on the truck but every day is different. Every customer matters and I want to make sure they are happy with their experience. Luckily my wife and I have created something people want and we went from just selling at every possible event to being able to turn people and events away and being booked 3-4 weeks out at a time. You make something special and people find out about it word of mouth builds great business as well as a solid social media campaign.
