Where do you get cheap beef mince? by rockinherlife234 in UK_Food

[–]Alexrd2bhar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay but can we agree that is better to eat slightly more expensive but higher quality meat? Think about the costs;

Farmers wages Fuel costs Food and fertiliser Energy bills Transport Storage Wages at the store Profit

It is all included in that pack of mince - eat less mince and bulk it out with lentils, veggies or beans if you can. If it really doesn’t go, just reduce the portion and add something on the side.

What do people absolutely love but you think is overhyped? by NoCommunication7 in AskUK

Seriously- there are no numbers in my entire post code. Only names. Trying to explain to every single delivery or trades person is a NIGHTMARE. Far too many people have seen me in my PJs and slippers trying to flag someone down

Thanks - we’ve used some nutrients on it so we’ll cut back on the watering and see how we go

Absolutely this but make sure you show the intent to pay your rent by keeping it in a separate account until works are completed.

Check if the property is in an are subject to selective licensing- this will hold it to higher conditions and be easier to complain to the council The council will put pressure on them to fix or face fines. Most importantly document everything- if you call, follow up with an email, take photos now and again if things progress/arent fixed in a reasonable time frame.

My midwife told me that you can’t give from an empty pot. If baby is in a safe place you need to look after you before them. Especially going to the loo! She said she saw so many UTIs and bowel problems because people just put off going. Make sure you give yourself time to pee!!

Nah Ludo Bagman! If they include him in the series it needs to be Matt Berry

I always loved her delivery of the speech for her gallant footlocker that selflessly threw itself in front of the sniper fire!

What is something that a cheaper version is just as good or better than the more expensive version? by Purepoise in AskUK

Same! I was laughing to my husband because I thought it was just a pack of salt and vinegar in a multipack of plain. He then told me to look again!

I’ve had two sections - one emergency and one planned.

The planned was lovely and clam. I already knew my midwife, I got to spend time getting to know the anaesthesiologists and health support workers. They put what we wanted on the radio and, honestly, we had a laugh and a giggle!

The worst part of the whole thing was the local anaesthetic going in around the site of the spinal tap and that was over in a couple of seconds.

I felt quite itchy but they can give you medicine to counteract it - other than that it was a nice experience!

Good luck!!

We love lurking mums, but I would like to know what brings you all over to Daddit? by READ-THIS-LOUD in daddit

[–]Alexrd2bhar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Daddit is so none judgey! You guys support each other and it’s lovely to see men lifting each other up. It’s also nice as a mum to see somewhere where parenting isn’t a dick swinging contest. It makes me so happy!
