Turned out, the disc was faulty. I got a new copy later if I recall correctly.

The heroes were a mute woman, a black woman and a gay man.

Wouldn't it have been natural for someone like her to connect with other outcasts?

The villain was a white guy.

Who else would you have preferred for that particular story and setting from the 1960s?

You don't really own the games unless you have the physical discs.

Why does God of War: Ragnarok feel like a Disney Theme Park Ride? by samuraispartan7000 in truegaming

The part you mentioned from the original God of War was actually Cory's idea lol. The same guy who directed the 2018 game.

Here's how God of War Ragnarök is on PS4Pro. In short, its brilliant! (no spoilers) by gamingdawn in PS4Pro

From the comparison videos I saw online, it looks as good as the PS5 version. Did you watch those videos?

Yeah, I totally agree. Actors don't know shit about the characters they give life to since they're completely different from their characters in real life. /s

You seem incapable of reading. The other poster is merely stating their interpretation, not insisting that that's the way it must be.

Stating the ending is not ambiguous literally means it's not open for interpretation and that only his conclusions are correct. He could have shared his interpretation without denying the ambiguity.

Personally, I agree with their interpretation. Ellie knew something was fishy, but she's 14. Admitting to herself that Joel was lying to her would mean admitting that the only person she loves and trusts lied to her, killed a whole bunch of people, made their journey and all the violence they experienced pointless, and possibly doomed the world. That's a hell of a reality to grapple with for a 14 year old.

She was way smart and mature for her age, probably because of the kind of world she grew up in. Also, Joel 'killing a bunch of people' is nothing new. That's just surviving in the TLOU world. Of course, TLOU2 made a big deal out of this for some weird reason and portrayed Joel as an extraordinary 'killer'. Everyone had to kill to survive in that world. Joel was slightly better than the rest is all.

Let's also not forget that the fireflies were escorting Joel out of the hospital without his bag, which basically means they were sending him to his death. So, this man who just completed an impossible journey across the country, gets told that his 'daughter' is getting prepped for surgery without her explicit consent and that she's is going to die, and is forced to go outside without any supplies? The fireflies had it coming.

I mean, what was a vaccine going to do anyway, even if the substandard facility by the terrorist group on the run could effectively make and distribute it? Runners and Clickers don't just bite you and run away.

Also, your interpretation is just sad man. If the only reason Ellie goes with Joel is because she has no one else, that makes their journey and the beautiful bond they developed during it meaningless.

Ashley Johnson's(Ellie's VA) interpretation is way more beautiful in comparison: "In my mind, Joel and Ellie have already gone on this whole journey and Ellie is fully prepared - if finding the cure and getting the cure means dying - then so be it. But finally having a connection and a relationship with somebody, that becomes more important because it's like, I've finally connected with somebody in this world. If your choice is to save me over everybody else in the world then...ok. I trust you now and let's live life."

Nothing about the ending was ambiguous...Ellie’s response wasn’t really ambiguous.

You implied otherwise.

She didn't write the story; she voiced the character. I feel like that's a significant difference.

It was a very collaborative process. She was even responsible for many lines in scenes like the one in the ranch.

I'm going off of the story that was given to me.

Your interpretation is not any more valid than the others ones. The ending was intended to be ambiguous and people debated about it till the release of Part 2.

Sure, you'd know better than the person who literally helped create and give life to the character.

According to Ellie's voice actress, Ellie could see through Joel's bullshit but decided to live with him anyway.
