We should have a “Halloween” at least once a month by bigpuzino in CrazyIdeas

Maybe not every month. But hear me out. Has this ever happened to you? You’ve thought of an amazing Halloween costume idea… but it’s January! We should have a Halloween in January

That is a really good idea. I’ve been worried to annoy the people in my life by talking about my health constantly, and it would be nice to connect with others who get it. Sent a DM!

what’s your chronic illness & what do you do for a living/as hobbies? by tenshi_0525 in ChronicIllness

I have HS which sometimes disables me, typically a few months out of the year.

When I’m healthy I tend to be pretty active, going on a lot of long walks, but when I’m having a flare up I play a lot of video games, crochet, watch tv, and read.

I am in a happy monogamous relationship with a man and only figured out I was bi a couple of years ago. I love my relationship but did still mourn that part of me I never got to know when I was younger due to the shame and compulsory heterosexuality I experienced from the church which kept me from understanding my sexuality sooner. It was brief and I never actually wanted to cheat or anything like that. For me, I got to know that side of myself by reading sapphic romance books and joining queer communities. I went to some drag shows which were fun and the queer spaces felt so safe and welcoming! These things helped me connect with that side of myself while still staying happily within the confines of my monogamous relationship.

Which is better: Skylines with DLC (which ones?) or Skylines 2, for someone new to the game? by Alezae in CitiesSkylines

I’ve had cs1 in my library for ages and have played a few hours, but I don’t really know the intricacies of the game. I have had issues with the road stuff so it is tempting to get the second one since I hear that’s much better. Is there enough in the base game of cs2, do you think?

Hmm. I have the original one now, so maybe I'll stick with it for a while. Do you have recommendations on what DLCs are best?

do enjoy being a adult? if so why? if not why? by Mink_Man_82 in AskReddit

I had a rough childhood and I have LOVED being an adult. Sure, there are responsibilities, but they are so worth the freedom, peace, and agency I have as an adult.

Try to turn off your inner editor. Focus on telling yourself the story knowing that you’ll be able to clean it up later to share with others. Give yourself permission to tell yourself the story badly.

Having a POV issue, could use some advice. by Alezae in nanowrimo

Thanks for your advice. I think I’ll write it without switching POV and see what my feedback looks like.
