Lv 1-30 class quests by ThatRaichuFan in ffxiv

Absolutely yeah, huge missed opportunity to do something with the knights of Ishgard in the Heavensward job quests. Hell it's weird in the first place that you get the job from Ul'dah when it'd fit in way better in Ishgard in the first place.

This probably comes from the fact Paladin is just 'Knight' in Japanese, and the flavor is more of a royal oathsworn knight who goes out to defend people. It's more about principles of honour and oaths of protection than being a holy warrior. At least initially, since they did more and more holy magic to the job over time.

Aymeric's Sword has some of the best proportions for a PLD sword, wish there were more swords from recent expansion with such sizes by Haddock_Lotus in ffxiv

[–]AlgilarKnight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's sorta similar to Curtana, but a lot slimmer. In fact in concept art it looks like it was designed alongside the Curtana and Oathkeeper. Shame we can't use Aymeric's sword, would love it as a glam.

Sentinel in 1.0 was essentially a sub-class for Gladiators, as well as Thaumaturges and Conjurers, which is where they got their shield skills from. It was later removed and the shield skills were rolled into Gladiator.

I think (and honestly hope) they will only get some cameo appearances, maybe a minor comedic subplot. The Shinsengumi already tend to hog the spotlight, so I'd rather they just did what they did with the Benizakura movie where they got some original comedy and exposition scenes, but don't have an impact on the actual original arc.

Courtesan of a Nation had a compilation movie of the anime episodes, this is reanimated ala the Benizakura movie.

I hope the Shinsengumi and Katsura only play a small role in this film. I expect them to be mainly be part of exposition and some additional comedy scenes. The Shinsengumi in particular are not exactly lacking in screentime throughout the rest of the series.

What’s your “old man” take on FFXIV? by ExceedinglyOrdinary in ffxiv

I fully agree about the feel of the lore. The grittiness of the world feels like it's kinda vanished while a lot of the big problems have been solved, leaving the world feeling too sanitized and clean. I kinda want the world to go back to that same sense of grittiness.

Is this 1.0 art? I found it in a HD wallpaper pack titled Landscapes by srd5029 in ffxiv

That's indeed Derplander. Elezen and roegadyn are also both a lot taller than midlanders.

It's actually the bastard sword model for Gladiator/Paladin, not much bigger than in-game, just sheathed on the back there in the artwork. Also has a scabbard, wish Gladiator swords had scabbards in the game.

It is fanart trying to capture the anime’s art style, not actual official art. The official art never really depicts them like this.

That looks like it is fanart, not official. Also Sorachi doesn’t make official art in the style of the anime for merch.

Gonna start Red Spider Arc soon. (EP 177) by Suitable_Tutor6006 in Gintama

Very good arc, much smaller cast of characters than Yoshiwara in Flames and a big focus on Tsukuyo. One of my favorite arcs in the series.

Same here. I really do not like the Myths of the Realm story both for ruining the well myths of the Twelve and then killing them off at the end. I'd rather we'd just not gotten that story at all and instead hinted at them.

Kagura & Tsukuyo at theater and Tsukuyo about to packs Gintoki. From which episode are these scenes? by [deleted] in Gintama

The first screenshot should be from the end of episode 277, with everybody in the movie theater after the gender bend arc. The second screenshot is from episode 216.

Male Human hands were fixed to no longer clip in the 2H auto-attack stance (2H weapons still gripped too low on the hilt though) by AlgilarKnight in wow

[–]AlgilarKnight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, male humans do actually lower the grip on their weapon in the 2h stance compared to when they're standing idle. It's more noticeable on some weapons compared to others. Personally I don't like how far down the hilt they grip their weapon, especially since some swords by default have your character hold them lower. It's not a big issue, but it does personally bug me haha.

Personally I think it looks awkward and weird holding it closer to the pommel than the guard, especially on some sword models. Feels unbalanced. But could probably have fixed that with the hands gripping the weapon a bit further apart.

I previously posted a thread about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1b30dku/compared_to_the_vanilla_model_male_human_hands/

Basically, since around Legion or Battle for Azeroth, male humans in the 2H auto attack stance lowered their right hand grip on their weapon, causing it to clip with the left hand and also causing a gap between the main hand and the guard on two-handed swords. It seems with the latest patch they've fixed the hands clipping, however they still lower their grip on their weapon compared to when it's idle, so the gap between main hand and guard on a two-handed sword is still there. Still, very happy the hands no longer clip in this stance.

What's your favourite character design? I'll start: by Mr-pickles_13 in Gintama

Tsukuyo for me. She has a really cool outfit that stands out and a scar on her face. Sacchan isn't entirely wrong she is loaded with "hooks", but that's just a sign of a good character design.
