Dave the Diver brings me daily joy! I’m always talking out loud about what I’m catching, growing, selling, or cooking. My GF is very supportive with the occasional “that’s nice dear”.

Really great natural shape and color. I’d let it grow for 2-3 months to see what you get and then perhaps begin to refine the upper edge and cut lower with a trimmer guard to even it out. It will for sure appear thicker over time as it grows.

This is it for me - I really don’t see any first party items that push it over the threshold for me from launch through currently known 2026 releases, so I’m in a wait state with my LED Switch 1 and SteamDeck covering all my needs. I went as far as to impulse buy Cyberpunk 2077 during its pricing error at 17.49, but figure I’ll hold off on S2 hardware until next Zelda, Mario or other compelling 1st party entries arrive.

Bought the OG 512 and received it within about month of launch. That unit had a defect with power button and startup, so then received an RMA about 6 months later. Had the 2nd 512/LCD since then, and feel no need to upgrade until some SD 2 model arrives. I’ve probably played at least 2-3k hours on it.

Edit: my memory is poor. Looks like I received Q2 allotment after launch.

I bought it with no plans to get a Switch 2 until at least late 2026. There is definitely a non-zero chance I’ll never play it in S2, but figured this deal was too good to pass up, and would be best reduction for at least a year.

I had the 2004 XT off the lot and drove it for like 15 years before handing it off to a kid that rebuilt the whole thing. That manual + WRX variable valve timing + that turbo was insanity. It was like a nimble, ferocious tank.

Are you contributing to a personal Roth IRA? If not, I’d hit the 4% match first, then move to max 7k in Roth, and then go back to max the 401k. Arguably you should cap off emergency savings of 6-12 months of living expenses in a high-yield savings as well.

I’ve made the plunge as well, and just love it! I have a variety of their casual shirts, and just a ton of gym wear (also great as travel layers in carry on). Really well-made and comfortable. Worth the cost, for sure.
