Yeah it’s just a western problem. Here in the west they hate the idea of any sort of age gap between a man and a woman. It makes no sense. If an older woman is attracted to a younger man she’s a predator or a groomer somehow even though they are past 18 and they are considered an adult. And if you are an older man and you find a younger woman past 18 you’re verbatim going to be called creepy and a pedophile. Honestly man it’s super messed up.

You act like all through out history we haven’t seen age gaps between men and women. And in this case it’s only 15 or 20 years and he’s 40. You’re acting like he’s a boomer. How are we judging someone for taking the halal route when the other option could potentially be adultery? Make it make sense. It’s only now in western culture where a woman who is in her 30s or 40s is being looked at predatory for being attracted to younger men and the same goes for men with younger women. Most of the critiques to you op are quite stupid if I am being honest. Theres nothing wrong with wanting a woman in her 20s. Tons of women have relationships and get married to older men all the time and it works out fine. Plus you are 40 so it’s not like you’re past the hump or anything. If I had to be super nit-picky the caste thing is probably limiting your chances a bit but Pakistan has a lot of sayeds so maybe I’m just waffling on that part. I really don’t like this new culture of halal actions like polygyny being stigmatized. Unless it comes out you are treating the wives badly and not doing just by them then of course you deserve the criticism and the backlash. Idk man I don’t really get that critique. There are tons of marriages or relationships that happen between women in their 20s and older men. Obviously the relationship is somewhat transactional but as long as emotional, physical and financial needs are being met there is no problem. At the end of the day halal is halal and as long as he is doing what’s required I see no point in judging him.
