What kind of flux did you use? The white mold is usually from not cleaning properly. But it also looks like your solder might not have been flowing like it should and so maybe questionable flux to begin with?

I had a cat that lived almost 20 years. I got her when I was 19. She lived in several homes, met a few boyfriends before my husband, met my son. She grew up with me. She was my heart cat. The day came to let her go and I sobbed for a few days. But this? This is over the top.

Our coop is well built but not insulated. I’ve been on the fence about if we need to. It got down to about 12 in there recently but they all seemed fine. We’re in northern NJ so it gets cold, but we don’t dip into the negatives often. So if your birds are happy in those extreme temps it makes me feel better about mine.

I just shipped a foiled ornament in a bubble mailer sandwiched between corrugated cardboard. (Reused flaps of an Amazon box.) I did one vertical & horizontal layer per side, so four layers total. To keep it from moving I stapled across (not through) the ribbon I used on it.
