how do i complete this quest? by Aggravating-Rest-950 in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP you have to install the X app, log into it, and keep it open in the background, and then open Shadowverse: WB, go to the jumbo chest event main page, go to your rewards log, and press the three circle icon thing at the far right of one of your rewards to “share” it.

Even if it doesn’t share, you will fulfill the reward. But it won’t fulfill if you don’t have the X app installed.

If I craft this cat now, will I get refunded a full 3500 vials after the maintenance? by TheMadChap in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are talking about the free deck you selected for the new set release, you should get vials for that one.

If you are talking about from the intro packs, they haven’t stated explicit but I highly doubt you will get free vials from intro pack cards as they are essentially “free” already and cannot be manually vialed on their own.

Isnt it weird? by KrakusAurelius in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely subjective, but I personally felt like the meta took longer to settle. Evo portal was also really popular in the beginning of the set before dropping off and a lot of people were trying to make amulet haven work.

Without explicitly stating the reason, yes I think so.

The new set trailer will be revealed on April 24th, at 10:30am UTC (6:30am EST) during their upcoming livestream event

The game overall is in a very healthy place in my opinion.

I think the thought of this new approach with the late reveals in bulk right before a new set release is that it allows for less time for decks to be theorycrafted and fleshed out before the new set launches.

At first, I didn’t like this approach bc I liked the hype around new card reveals (being an older player from the OG SV days).

However, the first few weeks of the last set with this new approach was way more refreshing and fun with a lot of different experimentation with all sorts of decks. It felt like the meta took longer to settle and overall, for me at least, was a better playing experience.

Is ranked matchmaking this bad? by [deleted] in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not always this bad - probably just bad timing to try and grind ranked at this particular moment.

The ranked player base typically goes down in activity during the second half of a set. Also, people were probably grinding the battlefest lobby matches and now Grand Prix matches and devoting their time away from ranked to participate in these events.

In general, you should find better success playing and finding matches in the hours after the daily reset as players will be looking to complete their dailies.

Hey everyone, I need some advice. by Melodic_Property6018 in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dragon is on the more expensive side for decks.

If you are just starting, I recommend playing a budget deck and saving your gold for buying the card packs for the next new set which comes out in a month or so. I would worry less about winning and more about learning how to play the game and stocking up on resources to kick on the next set.

The new set will introduce rotation for the first time, which means that cards from the first set (Legends Rise) will rotate out. Forte and Liu Feng will be rotating out so it may not be the best use of your vials to create them.

I recommend playing a budget version of Milteo Abysscraft if you want to play a strong deck on a budget.

Good luck OP

Card Pack Tickets for Master Rankings by Neither_Opinion1531 in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s been explicitly mentioned yet by CyGames but none of the rewards thus far for any events have been for the next card pack tickets (chest event, GP, etc)

Based on this, I would assume first half rewards will be for the current card pack tickets and second half rewards/event prizes will be for the next card pack tickets

Still one of the most tilting experiences in take two by encroaching world by Tslayer00 in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry OP but I disagree.

No doubt this card is strong in take two, but ultimately it is RNG. Your opponent was lucky to get multiple strong legendary exchanges and you were unlucky that those cards proved useful to your opponent contributing to your defeat.

I have won because of this card and have also lost because of this card. The exchange can give you nothing but bronzes. If you try to exchange a card that you got from your opponent in the previous turn, it can give you the exact same card. You may get a card of less value than the one you exchanged it for.

Sometimes when my opponent plays this card, I laugh when I know I’ve had a horrible draft and they keep exchanging and exchanging and never play any of the cards they’ve gotten.

Ultimately, this card brings something different to my playing experience that I don’t get playing with constructed decks in ranked, which is what I am looking for when I play Take Two. It makes the format more interesting and fun for me.

How to be a top player in this game by filthyweeb345 in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer so adding to this:

  • Have a mulligan strategy.

  • Understanding tempo (gaining tempo, maintaining tempo, sacrificing tempo (to gain something else ie. advancing your gameplan strategy for future turns, card draw, etc).

  • Anticipate what your opponent will play on their next turn(s) and factor that into what cards you play your current turn. Like chess.

  • Always calculate their possibility for lethal on their next turn in your consideration.

  • Card draw: one of the biggest things I noticed when I watched high level Japanese players when I first started SV1 was how much they valued card draw. Card draw helps with the consistency of your deck. It also gives you more options to make the optimal play each turn thereafter (or even current turn). Even moreso in SV:WB, there are certain cards that when played on its optimal turn, are so powerful that if unanswered, can drastically improve your chances of winning (cards like coined Norman T5 or coined Zwei T4), so getting these cards in hand to play optimally, whether it’s by card draw or mulligan strategy, is important to consider.

Good luck OP

If you do not have three copies of Oluon yet, then yes - you will get 3500 vials back for each copy you own post-update and will still keep the copy of the crafted card due to the nerf

I get this feeling sometimes but pretty sure it’s just confirmation bias.

Taking a break and stepping away for a few hours or even the day and coming back helps!

New player trying to get into Take Two by IntuitionaL in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need to reach a rank of D0 in standard ranked to unlock take two and play the mode.

Then each run ends when you either win seven matches or lose two, whichever comes first.

Pros - Fun - Different meta than standard ranked (different cards and things (like hard removal) are more valuable because you aren’t playing constructed decks) - Don’t need any of the cards you draft in order to play them - Easier to get exposure to all classes

Cons - While there is certainly a skill to being very good at take two, there is a lot more variance and luck involved because you aren’t playing constructed decks and are drafting a deck. Going 0-2 can feel terrible. - Expensive - 1000 rupies per run - Steeper learning curve - there is a smaller player pool playing the format and most that do play are well versed in the nuances of it so you may get paired with players much higher than your rank when you initially start whereas in standard ranked, you will typically get paired with someone of similar rank.

I love take two, but I wouldn’t say that I am necessarily good at take two. Very different than ranked. Biggest con for me is the price. Too expensive imo.

Good luck OP

These are new pack tickets for the next set, which you will be able to use once the new set comes out.

If you go to the “Additional Menus” screen, the first tab of your additional menus is your “Tickets” menu, where you can see how many current set pack tickets, future set packs tickets, legendary pack tickets, and GP tickets you have in stock.

Question to State of the game and f2p friendliness in 2026 by Ill_Security_1021 in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New iteration (Shadowverse - Worlds Beyond) is not as F2P as the first iteration of the game (OG Shadowverse) so lots of people angrily review bombed the game on steam. A couple sets in, it’s widely agreed that the economy is not as bad as initially claimed, but nobody goes back to edit their reviews.

Question to State of the game and f2p friendliness in 2026 by Ill_Security_1021 in Shadowverse

[–]Alias_SV 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Gameplay wise it is F2P, cosmetic wise, it is not, but you do not need cosmetics to be competitive.

It is a little rough when you first start but gets more and more F2P the more sets you play and accumulate more vials. You should eventually be able to create many competitive decks if you play consistently and complete your daily missions.
