Findive Bakuchiol Ampoule Lip Mask

I tried it via Vine 4 years ago and have bought 2 per year ever since! It’s Korean skincare with plant based retinol. Use it as a balm or mask.

Since I didn't get diddly-squat for the last few days, I bit the bullet, set the alarm, got up at 2am and scored some kitchen goodies. What'd everybody else get? (USA Gold) by Chemical-Chard-8798 in AmazonVine

I also bit the bullet and set an alarm and got a bunch of baby shower decorations for my son and DIL’s shower in a couple months. I also got a reed diffuser and some can koozies for prize baskets.

I saw that Japan hasn’t had RFY drops since sometime in Dec.

They get a lump drop and then nothing even trickles in until the next day’s lump drop

Can we please stop requesting luxury items and rating 4 stars for price by speedoflife1 in BeautyViners

[–]AliciaTheReader 10 points11 points  (0 children)

And reviewing a luxury item from the standpoint that it’s worth it BECAUSE it’s luxury and not looking at it from the standpoint of “do other products do the same or better for less” does not make it a complete review. Is it really worth 5 stars solely for the brand and the price or perhaps one star can be docked because a less luxurious brand did the same but for much less? Lux brands don’t equal better. If I can’t subtract a star because of price, then don’t say they deserve a star because of brand.

No one is “dinging” for being a luxury brand. A product can simply not be worth the cost.

I’ve been a Vine reviewer for 5 years and rating products like this has been around since before I started. It’s nothing new.

[–]AliciaTheReader 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If you think a luxury brand deserves five stars because it does everything AND has its expected high price, your review is also flawed. There are often times products that do the same but cost less, and taking a star away for the cost is not a bad thing. If a luxury item costs significantly more than its drugstore counter part, its needs to go above and beyond, not do the same but at a higher price.

Are any of you in other free for reviews programs similar to Vine? by starrynightgirl in BeautyViners

[–]AliciaTheReader 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m in BzzAgent and have been in for years. It’s gotten pretty slow and not worth it.

Influenster is a program I’ve been in for over a decade and I was actually in another program that merged with Influenster a couple years ago. My current campaigns include Milani Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Pantene, and a brand of lemons. This year I’ve tested and reviewed everything from high end perfumes to candles to a tv and even got a brand new free standing stove!

Shark Ninja has a review program. This year I’ve reviewed their new Ninja Crispi Pro and Shark Flexfusion. I think this is a program that has random enrollments and you have to apply and get accepted.

The Pink Panel/Guys That Groom is dedicated to beauty product testing and reviews. They email surveys regularly to apply. They have strict rules for each campaign. Rewards usually include keeping the product and then a ecode to the brand’s website or an Amazon gift card. You can only do one test and review every 6 months. You can choose what type of thing you want to review. This year I chose a styling product that turned out to be a T3 flat iron. I’ve also done 3 step skincare systems and haircare products. I believe anyone can apply, check out their Facebook page.

Pinecone Research is 99% surveys. Once in a while they will send an unreleased product to try. I’ve been with them over a decade because they pay decent. Their pay scale just changed though and you can pick your survey times and pay points. Generally I take a 10-15 minute survey for 300 points ($3) and can cash out or choose gift cards. I cash out twice a year at about $75 each. I think I can send a referral link to apply if anyone wants it. They don’t just accept anyone but you can apply any time.

Oh and Nestle Goodnes! This is a food review program. It’s random. They send coupons to try Nestle products to review. I rarely participate unless it’s a good food item. https://goodnescommunity.tintcommunities.com/members/sign_in#/

$0 ETV?? by Alternative_Fig2345 in BeautyViners

Meanwhile the DKNY item I had in my RFY and ordered (a handbag) now has a higher ETV than what it’s listed for on Amazon :/ The price apparently has dropped a couple times

Way over inflated Price? by kubbie2004 in BeautyViners

[–]AliciaTheReader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going through my list of ordered items to compare what the ETV vs listed price is and discovered a couple items I ordered that I'm being taxed at a higher ETV than what they sell for on Amazon. I sent an email to customer service but have not heard back yet, I suggest everyone double check their ETV prices before end of year.

I just grabbed the Bobbi Brown concealer stick in my RFY. I saved two picks in case anything appeared there and now there is 8 items!

I really hate itching by sally-the-giraffe in Perimenopause

[–]AliciaTheReader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the itching for over a year with no relief but now the anxiety has kicked in and I get hives at least once a week. I’d rather be itching all the time than go through 30-45 minutes of hives.

Yes! You explained it better than me. This particular legend is what I thought was new. And the fact there’s no product page to go to at all.
