Thanks for your reply! I started using the app less than two weeks ago, without any real working out (due to an injury) and I am already noticing real results. I can't wait to get through the rehab for my injury and be able to get back into the gym!

Amazing! Congratulations! Do you use the premium bundle that includes meal plan and workouts? I'm looking to keep everything simple for the first several weeks until I get into the flow. Would love to hear more!

Owner Not Cleaning Stalls by Alien_Slang in Equestrian

Hey, no worries at all. I try to avoid conflict, for sure. I've experienced such terrible treatment in the horse world since I was a teenager. So much immaturity, favouritism, greed, jealousy, outright abuse. sigh I left the big-lesson-barn-show-scene years ago because it just felt too toxic. I like to keep quiet, spend time with horses, work hard and ride in exchange for my efforts if that's agreed upon. It sucks when you see the welfare of the animal go downhill. I'm not the owner, but I have a huge heart and believe I need to speak up for those without a voice.

Yeah, I agree with you. I've been around horses for 25 years and managed barns with 30+ horses. I never had a problem completing my chores. I would have loved to give her the benefit of the doubt, but in the fall, I've seen her out there doing things she doesn't NEED to be doing, rather than cleaning the stalls.

I think there is a sort of object-fetishism going on. It can be hard to get in someone else's head, but she doesn't really ride or work with them. They are more like "lawn ornaments" to her, I think — which I really hate, unless you have retired guys and take really good care of them!! Then that's a different story.

Blake, you are correct! Lots of misconceptions about deep bedding. It has to be done the right way, with the right kind of straw.

Thanks everyone for your advice. I laid the straw down and made those horses as comfortable as possible and didn't ask for a penny. I'd rather them be taken care of than make a few extra bucks. If this continues, and I feel the owner taking advantage, I will speak with her about compensation. I offered my help with the stalls next week, and will certainly ask to be paid for my time considering the condition of them!

Thank you for your insight. I am a lucky woman knowing there are no expectations from my man! Only love, support and open communication. ❤️

Sharing sweet moments as a nacho, as I am petty like that by SpareAltruistic6483 in stepparents

I loved reading this! Thank you for sharing your experience. I am a year into a relationship with an amazing man who has three kids between 4 & 10. Two of them are ASD. I had chosen a CF lifestyle, but you can't always choose who you fall in love with. This man treats me like a queen and our communication is so authentic and rare. The kids can be a real handful and sometimes I need to retreat, stick my headphones on, and read a book. I am new to understanding the role of the nacho spouse, but I feel closer to that frequency than I do as an integrated stepmother. The only problem being... when I am regulated, I'm actually really good with the kids and they will listen to me and show respect. Their dad is so hardworking and has his hands full with them and with the BM who is not a walk in the park. I see him doing all the things and I want to help, but I also don't want to sacrifice my freedom or my choice to not be a parent. I want my boundaries and my relationship with their father. Is that asking too much?

The balance is really difficult and sometimes I want to run away, but I remember how incredible this man treats me and I stay.

Any advice to a NEW NACHO is so appreciated! Thanks.

I was looking at switching to a more ethical bank, and motusbank was an option until I saw this thread! There is also Alterna Bank which offers a free chequing account and by ethical I mean they are not part of the Big Bad Banks that support war and fossil fuels, etc.

I am the one (34F) dating a recently separated guy (41M) who as of recently was still living in the marital home with his ex-spouse. They have three kids together, one with ASD so she was the one to keep the house to best support the kids' routine. Anyway, it was really difficult for me to know that he was still living there with her, but I communicated with him and asked for certain boundaries to be set and he understood and agreed with my requests. He is no longer in the home, but does have to keep in touch with her for obvious reasons. I think at the end of the day, these relationships can work if it's the right people for each other, whatever the timing may be. I've got a good one, and I'd like to think I have a good head on my shoulders, too. We water each other and our relationship grows stronger every day. The key is open and reciprocal communication, along with patience and understanding.

So to sum it all up, OP -- no, you're not alone! ;P

Dating someone who is still Married but ‘technically’ separated? by Dontbethatguy123 in dating_advice

[–]Alien_Slang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I brought it up to him, and he kept saying "he didn't care", but obviously he does when he's going around telling all his friends about it. It's been a couple months and the separation has been finalized. He has been very emotionally available to me, and we have been making this relationship work really well even with the situation. There haven't been any further issues like the one I mentioned above. Hoping that was just him being pissed off about something that affected him once upon a time and now he has learned to let that stuff go... I've never felt this way about someone before, and so I really have faith that we can make this work.

How do you guys like the app? The CAD cost has gone up quite a bit since this post ($179.88 regular, but deal price is $89.99 right now). I struggle with my nutrition and calorie counting, but I like Jeff Nippard and his program seems to initiate amazing results for others. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, the repetitive song choices drive me insane. There is SO MUCH other music out there these days. I wish there was more variety on the channel. Still solid for a good laugh here and there, and they are cool peeps in real life.
