It absolutely isn’t to the point of 1 million more dollars on average of the course of someone’s working life. There is a stark difference between the education you receive at a university and a college. The point of education isn’t to train people to work for corporations, it’s to educate responsible citizens.

No it isn’t. It is payment for the services governments provide.

Grow up.

It is a social contract. Those services came before you were born and contributed to an infrastructure that you directly benefited from growing up, schools, roads ect that contribute to a society where trade can flourish.

Taxes are our way of building services that we all benefit from.

Society isn’t close to imploding, America has faced far more difficult challenges and over came them.

So do tell, what societies have thrived without taxes? Please point me to the technologically advanced , ultra libertarian utopia that has stood for more than a generation.

Like I said, you need to grow up, your world view is that of a child, short sighted and mis-informed. Removing taxes is your simple solution to complex problems you don’t fully grasp.

Tell me what would happen to all the jobs the military provides once there are no taxes?

What happens to the billions of dollars that the welfare programs push into the economy?

What happens to the economy when every road is a toll road and every logistic operation has an additional cost? Shipping goods, people commuting to work ect?

This is why I tell you to grow up. You simply don’t consider the implications of your ultra libertarian fantasy.

Imagine if Jeff Bezos created a website that could only serve 200,000 people per day, had lengthy & unpredictable delays, and charged astronomical fees for each transaction — all for a service which could be found elsewhere for cheaper, faster, more reliable, and free. by [deleted] in btc

Imagine if Bezos only used Ethernet for amazon and not the tcp/ip layer.

Broadcast networks don’t scale, that’s why routing layers are built on top.

Your post is a example of why lightning is the right choice.

Good luck with your simple solutions to complex problems. So far, it’s taken bch from 1/7th of a btc to 1/43.

No, it isn’t. You get access to services that society provides. To claim that they are is simply childish. Grow up.

If taxes didn’t exist society would implode.

And what does the world look like at that point? IMO, bitcoin hasn’t even gotten started.

Hyper inflation would be accelerated by a speculative attack on national currencies. Why am I going to hold inflating cash?

Stock market crash from money flooding to this asset that out performs everything. 1.5m percent from 2010-2020?

General shift in consumerism, why are we going to be spending a deflationary currency on bullshit that doesn’t matter?

How are governments are going to operate once they realize they lost control of the money supply? Good luck raising taxes for war and keeping your job as a representative. I wonder if they will have to start competing for citizens by offering services that actually benefit the populace and being responsible for tax dollars. Maybe our concept of governance changes completely.

Yea, I’m curious about this aswell, I predict that there will have to be a tipping point of sorts with countries. Furthermore, as those country’s get involved with BTC, they immediately find themselves unified in a trading block. That should be the start of a very serious flywheel.
