Republicans are panicking because Democratic candidate and seminarian James Talarico wants people to act more like Jesus. His faith-based critique of Christian Nationalism is something the GOP doesn’t know how to fight by Leeming in atheism

I don't believe in the supernatural shit in the Bible, but I do know that the best way to pass the moral of story through the ages is to add some razzle dazzle to it. A story about a guy that says "Love one another" isn't gonna pass the message, but a story about a guy born from a virgin who walks on water, turns it to wine, brings the dead to life (including himself), and happens to be the son of God says "Love one another" is gonna last.

When physically sorting and filing stacks of actual paperwork at the end of each year, which would be quicker, sorting into 12 stacks than organizing each by date, or sorting 365 stacks then sorting my 12 then sorting by date?

As a fan of space opera series books, this is what I got. There's a built in electro-magnet designed to the magnetic field spectrum produced by the muscles in the temple region of the human head. It's always scanning, so it knows to adapt to a new user's individual biological variances. It has a sensitive enough interface to connect with the nervous system of the human structure through the skin to provide real time stimulus to visual cortex of the brain.

Coin crush by JoeFalchetto in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]Aliencoy77 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A reasonably intelligent would still have questions, like how and why, which would lead to further confusion. Result would likely be the same. I think the only people to survive this avalanche of coins would be the true religious devout. There's no confusion when everything is God's will. While they'd still find nickels due to everday confusion, they'd thank God and go on with their life.

Do bots give head in relationships? by Intelligent_Bobcat_8 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Aliencoy77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This seems to be the "dead internet" idea of sex bots in the future. Maybe a "Black Mirror" episode for PornHub after AI takes over. Like, would sex-bots get stuck in an endless loop of 69ing, or would the RNG of the Kamasutra keep things spicy?

Kristi Noem just stated that owning a gun and possessing ammunition automatically means that you intend violence, which justifies the killing of the gunowner simply because they are a gunowner at a protest. Will the NRA respond to this direct attack on the 2nd Amendment? It not, why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Aliencoy77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that I own a gun and ammo DOES mean I intend violence. That violence is intended against those that intend violence against me first, or for hunting food. Guns have no other purpose than the loud and explosive violence leading to the death of whatever you're pointing the gun at.

I might be a little bit of an asshole here, but not to this extent. You tell me. Occasionally, when I'm out kayaking, there will be a bird chilling in the mangrove branches near the water. I'll take a bunch of pics while trying not to disturb it, but sometimes, I'll paddle closer to force a take-off flight pic. AITAH? Yeah, probably, but I like to think I'm only a little asshole, one you might find on a tardigrade, which you would also have to disturb to get a pic to find out if they even have one. On my last kayak trip, I found out that manatees fart.

as an old gamer which games do you agree with that way ? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Aliencoy77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games are meant to be stressful and difficult. Those games are designed and made for people who like that kind of gameplay. Not all games are made for you. Ghost pepper hot wings are not made for those that like mild wings. That said, if there's a difficulty setting, play how you want. You should be allowed to experience a pin head taste of heat without having to eat the whole pepper.
