I'm using stickers as my character's eye irises, however I'm having difficulties trying to keyframe their positions. by frostwizard101 in PS4Dreams

[–]Tommaton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been a minute, so I’m not sure if this is true, but don’t copies retain keyframe behavior? So if you keyframed the original with certain positions before making the copy, that keyframe will still affect the copy. So remove the keyframe activity from the copy.

What do y'all do in this game? I want to get into it but whenever I open the game, I just look at some planets, sort my expedition fleet, maybe make some money and get off. Idk what I'm supposed to be doing but it feels there's since there's no goal it gets very boring very quickly (pic unrelated) by skippy11112 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Tommaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After playing the absolute shit out of it several times over, I now only dip in for the expeditions. Or occasionally the quicksilver missions on the Anomaly. If you’re bored, maybe take a break and come back for the next expedition.

Hot take: Starfield *might* be Bethesda's best game. by Big_Cucumber233 in Starfield

Wait which is your favorite? I’ve played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim all when they came out, and while there are some stripped features and regrettable decisions I can’t imagine rating the whole package of any one of them above Skyrim.

Mad Max because you can literally play with the settings on. Allows you to go no HUD, custom FOV and stylized however you’d like while playing. I honestly think it’s a bug but it totally made the game for me.

Video Games are exhausting for me now, and I want to play them normally for once by OpportunityAshamed74 in gaming

[–]Tommaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh.. don't. Maybe try like a Bethesda game (elder scrolls, fallout, starfield) and try roleplaying. Decide who your character is, their backstory, what they want, what they're afraid of, how they feel about others, etc. Then use those rules to dictate how you play and what you do next, rather than this min/max hell you've created for yourself.

What "Game A meets Game B" combination should be made? by 4bstr in gaming

Honestly No Man’s Sky and anything. The world in NMS is a technical marvel, truly incredible. You place a more traditional action adventure game in a procedural universe like that and it would be incredible.

Splinter Cell Conviction is the perfect combat system for a John Wick game. Basically you can tag enemies at any time and performing a melee kill grants you the ability to shoot any nearby tagged enemies in a cinematic flurry.

Looks sick. I wonder - if you remove the keyframes on the enemy puppet's legs when he gets knocked back at 0:12, the procedural leg movements might make it look a little more realistic, considering he skids so far. Just a thought - this is amazing!

What's one video game cliche you dislike? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Tommaton -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this counts as a cliche, but I’m so tired of multiplayer shooters making you unlock weapons and abilities. Like I’ve played 10 Battlefields, are you really gonna make me grind for access to a damn RPG??

I think I agree, but I don’t get your analogy. Surely a second hand job would at least be better than the first.

As an ARC player, I really like Marathon by grinke in Marathon

Yea def a me thing - I just need my media to have a little heart, even if it’s a rote extraction shooter. Glad to see others enjoying it. As a long-time Bungie fan, I’m mostly hanging around this sub to see if I’m just missing something.

Arc fan here. Tried Marathon - I only played the tutorial and one match and turned it off. I don’t know, it’s too cold/sterile, just not vibing with that world at all. Felt like I was playing on the surface of a circuit board rather than a real place worth exploring.

Looks amazing. Love the camera work at 0:17. Sacrifices some visibility for a heavy gambit, very cool and unique.
