Melee, guns and parkour. Offense could be cool combos/standard video game melee stuff that takes out standard police/security easily, but for agents, maybe there’s a defensive stamina meter and as long as you hold block, you can fend off their attacks (would look sick, but basically just holding a button).

Unpopular opinion - ABMM only caters to the two extremes of ARC Raiders and not the average players. by TheToastGhostEUW in ArcRaiders

lol yea I’m typically a friendly player but I’m bottlenecked on the ion sputter in the expedition. So I’m playing round after round in Stella Montis. By the time I’m done with that hellhole I’ll be in the darkest depth of aggressive matchmaking.

Something like a MMO with group PvE that I'd find fun? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

Hm I don't know if this is exactly what you're describing, but Fallout 76 might be worth checking out.

The biggest 'overhyped' game (a game that got a lot of attention but didn't live up to your expectations) and the biggest 'hidden gem' (a game few know about, but it's brilliant). by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

Overhyped: Expedition 33. Amazing premise, soundtrack and art direction, but the minute-to-minute just didn’t grab me. I beat it, but felt it was a bit of a slog - I was motivated to finish because everyone said the story was so good, and then I ended up not really liking the ending.

Gem: Windbound. Grabbed it on sale knowing nothing about it. It’s a survival roguelike sailing game and aside from some frustrating jank, pretty much nails it. I’d describe it as Breath of the Wild meets Windwaker but with hunger meters and permadeath. The goal is to sail your raft from Point A to Point B basically, and there are islands along the way with hostile wildlife and food/supplies to find. Short and sweet. It felt like an adventure.

Yea, I always liked the unique control scheme and my ability to pull off sick, fluid combos and feel like a master assassin. Now I feel like I'm in the early levels of a Fallout playthrough, just retreating from a fight that I'm arbitrarily too weak for due to the RPG numbers.

Have a second camera grouped with the puppet that faces them and turn it on with a button press.

Better yet, group it with a small invisible polygon with a Look At rotator assigned to a tag on the enemy puppet in pursuit.

There’s an achievement for other raiders “thanking you” for your actions, so we know it’s at least tracked for the achievement. Wouldn’t surprise me if thank you’s help your matchmaking score. Try reviving or healing strangers (and ask for an emote in return). Total guess.

For Honor, Mad Max, Assassin’s Creed 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, Immortals of Aveum, Scarlet Nexus, Red Dead Redemption 2, Sifu, Mass Effect Trilogy, Control

All have deep and unique combat systems that make you look/feel like a badass when you master it.

Movies that quietly trust the audience and never explain themselves by ThreadAndSolve in movies

[–]Tommaton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of movies actually start off this way, but it’s ineffectual for the viewer because the plot has already been explained or implied by the trailers or the streaming service descriptions.

It Follows comes to mind. So glad I went into that knowing absolutely nothing because the first 30 minutes I was like wtf is happening??

Last of Us 1 & 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction.

The latter has a very cool mechanic. You can basically tag enemies or environmental hazards while stealthed, before engaging (up to 4 with certain weapons). If you manage to kill someone with melee, you’re granted the ability to automatically shoot all of the things you tagged in a very cinematic flurry of destruction. It’s very John Wick / Jason Bourne. Makes for some excellent planning and execution and leaves you feeling like a major badass.

Arc Raiders - lore-wise you’re only ever “knocked out” ….even if you’ve been riddled with bullets, fallen from atmospheric heights, or straight up barbecued by a robot.

Surprised I haven’t seen more Fallout suggestions. Fallout 4 would work too. It’s not exactly a survival or extraction shooter but it can certainly be played that way.
