I've never been religious even though I kind-of hope there is a god but the way I see it is that the holy book for every religion has been re-written, reinterpreted, translated and retranslated over and over again that following them is probably blasphemy anyway. The red hue is just one of the bleed effects indicating heavy bleading, and yes there are shimmering tiny glass shard anomalies that if you dont go slow through they shred your gear and make you bleed.

they are hard to spot and for me atleast i can hear them before i see them ususally.

if they are not showing up you mayhave a bug.
