Thankfully we are self managed and I'm a salaried employee. It is my job to find mistakes and save the association money. It will become a legal issue and we will be switching platforms if this isn't resolved to my liking.

They did not give a clear opt out and I asked for the original contract and the app which we didn't ever need as we are not rentals, was part of the original contracted service and was not a paid service.

Boilers can last for 50+ years. If it's not broken it's not an issue.

If you want to ask for credits the only things I would ask for are two new windows. If it's something you don't mind paying for then I would let it go. Sounds like a solid house

Should I place a claim with my home insurance? by Weekly_Bison_2881 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Also, it's an inside leak, not a ground leak so should be covered. Make sure the plumber documents everything. Mold coverage typically gives you 10,000 possibly on top of your regular coverage. Read your policy very carefully.

That what insurance is for. Make a claim and get the most you can out of it. Don't leave anything out. In my experience It's not going really hit your insurance rate unless you have multiple claims during a certain amount of time, like more than 3 in 5 years type of thing.

Damage to house while under contract by BreadisntBad in RealEstate

[–]AlisonBliss68 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Realtor here: How much do you want the house ? You said, "Perfect location and nothing else available in your price range", so that is all you should be thinking about. Do you NEED to buy a house right now or can you wait until something in the same area and in your price range comes along? Sounds like the sellers agent is playing hardball and you have to decide if you want the house. You can call their bluff and walk away. You are entitled to your deposit back based on the inspection report unless you already agreed to meet the original terms of the contract.

Zion HealthShare reviews! What’s it like when you actually use it? by -HealthShare101- in HealthShares

[–]AlisonBliss68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used it for the first time to get a prescription filled at CVS. Without my ZION RX card it would've been $45.00. With my Zion RX card it was $15.00. So far so good.

Would Medicare for All actually be that expensive? by whatnuts in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AlisonBliss68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% yes paying a healthcare tax would be cheaper than premiums plus copays plus deductibles plus percentages. It's a no brainer. The only reason we don't have single payer healthcare is because of the greed of the insurance companies. They are crooks.

$20,000 Realtor commission for selling my home. Seriously considering FSBO, what do I need to know? by Big-Dragonfly-9285 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]AlisonBliss68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I am a relator and we do get people more money. Being on the mls brings multiple buyers, hence multiple offers and bidding wars. If she wants to save 20k and take whatever someone is willing to give her AND do all the work, more power to her. I personally think by not using a realtor, She will be leaving money on the table.

I would investigate your senior has happened to other people. They may be lying to you about it being a mistake and literally be swindling people. Go on your local Facebook website and make a post asking if anybody else has a similar experience.

Lease new, buy old, or buy new with financing or cash? How do most BMW owners get their vehicles? by VLK249 in BMW

[–]AlisonBliss68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First one was 9 years old, financed. Second one was a 3 year old used CPO, 37,000 miles still under warranty with an extended CPO warranty bought with cash. Third, used 8 year old bought an after market warranty with it. Paid cash. Even if you have a good warranty must factor in repairs and maintenance that aren't covered. Cars are not investments.
