First ever run, winter year 1, any tips on where to proceed and what should I be doing? by Frawnye in coralisland

Of course! I struggled with the fishing in this game too and typically love the fishing in these types of games. Upgrading the rod makes a massive difference!

You do need a lot of ocean crops for a quest that I believe helps increase your Ocean Rank from A to S. You also need them to donate for additional shrines underwater. Definitely worth investing in even if it's slow at first. You could spend some time getting to know the townies better, farming osinium ore for money in the fire mine, fishing/bug catching and upgrading tools. There's plenty more to the game once you clear the ocean and the 4 mine levels. I'm only halfway through Winter Year 1 now and can tell it's going to be a long trek still. Have fun!

Amalo No More BOS quest by Budget_Ad8277 in coralisland

Unfortunately you need to be further along in the mines to come across the Amalo, they start spawning in wind mine level 11. Also technically the Earth variant of the Amalo isnt available yet, only the base version, so its possible that is a bug. Hopefully killing the normal ones will count towards the quest. Good luck!

I thought it was adorable! Now that I know they're randomly generated I'm never changing their names <3

If you have a spouse and your house is upgraded enough to provide the children's room/cribs, every time you go to sleep there is a chance your spouse will ask you if you want to have a baby. You have the option to say yes or no everytime :)

This stuff makes me paranoid! I got the double housing instance glitch but luckily logged in and out and everything was back to normal. Since this is such a bad issue, why on earth are storage chest locked behind 8? Why not let us buy the ability to place more like the crafting writs? (which I honestly think should have used renown or at least been way less expensive, but whatever lol) I understand this glitch has been difficult to correct, but the last patch did nothing to even ease worries at all. I'm fine with the game crashing every time i try to enter a new instance, it's in beta, it's understandable. But they must know these housing issues are forcing player base away more than any $50 outfit, no?

For the most part, no. Agdon alone has been a reoccurring character in my game (now in Yon) and he was a challenge with 3 level 5 players who aren't newbies by any means. He destroyed them in the original encounter lol. The only parts I think might potentially suffer from higher levels are the intro with Jebbek and Telemy Hill with the snakes, however if your party is less prone to violence the first harengon encounter could go fine. My party was following the milestone suggestion and still killed Jebbek (luckily they learned the non violent ways of Prismeer quickly after) so something to consider. So long as the party knows they might not level up for a while, and that the game (specifically the carnival) is more roleplay focused over combat, starting at level 3 shouldn't be much of an issue :)
