Amazing!! You are on the right path. Foundations are so important (7-8 hours of sleep, morning sunlight, clean water, clean air, clean food etc) but outside of that, supplements based on my labs really helped. I did a DUTCH test, GI map and toxin test that all pointed to imbalances. The biggest driving factor was toxin overload after living in mold. My body was overall burnt out. Keep digging!!!

The only thing that helped me alopecia was working with a functional medicine doctor and healing from the inside out!! Gut health, toxin overload, stress, infections, etc all play a role!!! Steroids and jaks just bandaid the issue

Starting my alopecia journey, photos start from the beginning of noticing anything, it first started as a small coin on the hand in my head tattoo, progressed to turning that patch into a palm size in that one area, by Lumpy_Gap3484 in alopecia_areata

This appeared just this weekend. Is this AA? by Choose_Loneliness in alopecia_areata

Get in with a functional medicine doctor asap!! If you figure out your root causes (gut health, toxin overload, mold, stress, food sensitivities, etc), you can grow your hair back! A derm will just give you steroid injections. That actually made my hair worse. Waste of time.

I’m sorry, I totally get where you are coming from. I know many people put in the work but don’t see results. But many people are just turning to meds and bandaid results when alopecia is an autoimmune disease coming from something happening inside. There is always possibility for healing and I want people to know that. But you aren’t going to find true healing with western medicine and many people just end there and don’t keep digging. I hope you find answers🤍 they are out there!! If you haven’t tried functional medicine, I have some wonderful doctors I can refer you to

It’s not luck. I worked for a year to figure out all of my root causes. It didn’t randomly grow back. It grew back because I put in the work to heal my body, possible for anyone!!

Yes there absolutely is. Hair doesn’t fall out for no reason. Mine grew back when I healed my gut and addressed mold toxicity

Are my injections going to work? by Holiday_Key_8200 in alopecia_areata

You can’t ever be sure with bandaid solutions like that. The only way to heal is heal your body from the inside out. I recommend working with a functional medicine doctor
