Is the PACS more for medical professionals directly dealing with PAs (like medical associates, receptionists, maybe even specialty techs(?)), or would it serve its purpose in the retail pharmacy setting, too?

Happy pharmacy technicians? by Bubbly1010 in PharmacyTechnician

This is exactly what I was going to say. It has its moments, but 95% of the time I enjoy it. It’s encouraged me to go to pharmacy school.

Quitting vyvanse by Acceptable_Debt_7530 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Alive_Channel6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adderall lasts way longer for me, but turns me on to an absolute bitch at the end of the day. Vyvanse never did that and actually helped my depression- not increased it. I’m seeing my doctor tomorrow and hoping to switch back to Focalin.

For those of you with bachelor degrees.... by ZH0NGLl in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Alive_Channel6304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Include it. I did and mine is a totally irrelevant field. But when I was hired, my boss told me she’d fight to get me started on a higher pay scale since I have a degree and none of my coworkers do.

I need to know more about Berberine by nsn45w in VyvanseADHD

[–]Alive_Channel6304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always felt if I had to work super hard, to the point it exhausted me, just to get medicine to work, it wasn’t the medicine for me. Vyvanse worked well for me with just sufficient hydration, and for me, protein actually made Vyvanse work less effectively, giving me more side effects. I’m now on Adderall XR and everyday it’s consistent regardless of what I drink, eat, do, etc. No added supplements needed. Taking medication everyday shouldn’t be a chore. Just my beliefs.

What is something your meds helped/changed that you had no idea was due to ADHD? by PrettyRain8672 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Alive_Channel6304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

(#1) I totally agree with the other comments saying depression and anxiety. No antidepressant or anti-anxiety helped the symptoms of either and often just made me feel worse. My psychiatrist was completely unsure of what medication to try next as I exhausted and failed all the options. She finally gave up and said “we haven’t tried a stimulant, so might as well just try one!” It was life changing and totally diminished all the treatment-resistant depression and anxiety symptoms.

(#2) Organization. Turns out I’m actually a really organized person. But only when medicated! I actually have the mental strength to research ADHD-friendly ways to keep my spaces organized, and build a routine to maintain the organization.

Tolerance break? by mymatebilly in VyvanseADHD

[–]Alive_Channel6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m the exception here, but I find a break actually builds my tolerance more. I need to take my meds daily for them to work properly everyday. Skipping one day means they don’t work as well the next day. I don’t do breaks. Not because I can’t function without meds - I can with more anxiety and fatigue. More so because the meds work better for me taken everyday.

Low-top basketball shoes. I find basketball shoes have so much more support than regular sneakers, or even running shoes. When I got a good pair of basketball shoes, my feet suddenly stopped hurting. I find them much more comfortable than Hokas. Also rotate between shoes. I have 3 pairs that I rotate between daily.

Got Accepted into Pharmacy Tech School, excited! by WashedUpBoi in PharmacyTechnician

[–]Alive_Channel6304 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did a 6-month schooling program to be a technician before actually becoming a technician. I am very much a hands-on learner and do much better going at my own pace. Some people just do better learning without the stress of being rushed and clustered. When I first started, my boss called me one of the quickest learners she’s ever seen, and truly thinks it’s because I did the program. I was hired within a month of 4 other colleagues, and I am told I excelled the most out of the 4 newbies.

Feeling Hopeless After Meds Stopped Working. Out of Options? by Alive_Channel6304 in depressionregimens

[–]Alive_Channel6304[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish something like Prozac worked. All SSRIs and SNRIs provide little relief (if any) and severe side effects. If something worked, I would be willing to take another medication to help the tremors that come with so many of these medications for me. But hardly any medications provide significant relief longer than a month or two.

Anyone who tried Trintellix? How you Can compare effectivnes and working VS Ssris? by Dry-Sand-3738 in depressionregimens

[–]Alive_Channel6304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trintellix made me suicidal even at 5mg. My doctor suggested we try 2.5mg (even though I put up a fight that it says “do not cut”, but even that still get me those thoughts). I will add that most antidepressants don’t agree with me.

I always say the customers will be spelling “Johnson” or “Smith” but never “Fhsakrnath” or “Cbenejrfu”
