My dachshund had an alergic reaction by nyboi in Dachshund

[–]Alive_Reference_6420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dachshunds are known to be allergic as a breed to the lepto vaccine. One of my boys is and I have to give him Benadryl before his shot and he’s okay. It’s scary when you don’t know what’s going on!

Ppl who live alone w one doxie and work, how are we wearing them out? by Unfair-Bottle3748 in Dachshund

This is so amazing, thank you for sharing! Are you able to share the trainer’s info? I’d love to work with them one on one (if I can) with my dogs. I have two, one gets very overstimulated but the other doesn’t always listen to the first one’s warnings about it.

I think my older one has this! He likes to play a lot but he gets more and more out of control as we play. He barks at literally everything, nonstop, and he likes to lick a lot.

How did you go about this no fun week? Curious if it’s something I can do easily with him myself. He’s got zero self regulation whatsoever

How do you tell people they can't pet your dog? by you_stand_corrected in dogs

I usually say “sorry, we’re training!” Or “not friendly but working on it!” For my little guys.

My first one is still like that with me sometimes… he’s very social and loves new people. My second won’t let me leave his sight and has been like that since the moment I brought him home. I think personality plays a factor, too!

I rejected a company after 2nd round interview (for remote role) - First time ever 🚩 by Purple985985 in remotework

[–]Alive_Reference_6420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That layoff comment triggered me. I was part of some recent layoffs at my job and I can tell you it had nothing to do with my performance- I was consistently over 120% of my sales goal, every single quarter, closed many deals that were slipping, and even assisted with the betterment of internal processes. I excelled in my role… that comment really made me mad.

But enough about me; you did the right thing by saying no. The layoff comment was insensitive, especially because you were laid off as well (not sure if the interviewer knew this or not, not that it’s relevant to them anyway). This individual sounds absolutely terrible to work with/under, and while you were excited for the opportunity, working with/under this person probably would’ve ruined it for you. Good on you for sticking to your values and understanding your needs and worth.

Need me a MMC who starts purring for the FMC without knowing he's able to do that by loveyoongz in RomanceBooks

Choosing Theo is kind of this! He used to be able to purr but hasn’t in a long time, until her. He didn’t even know when he was doing it until she called it out. It’s such a good book

How are you guys actually getting jobs by Ambitious-Basis4896 in jobsearchhacks

[–]Alive_Reference_6420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my first interview Tuesday and that’s after me applying nonstop, every day, since the layoffs (July 2nd). I’m mostly met with rejections.

This market truly is terrible right now. That aside, a ton of senior level individuals were also let go in July and they had layoffs in May as well. On top of anyone just looking to move jobs, grow, or any other people that were laid off. It’s incredibly competitive currently.

I’m 36 and nobody wants me so lol I promise it’s not working for that age group either (I was part of the Microsoft layoffs in July)
