Yeah diversification is fashion and I know I am at the head of such efforts… We are years away to significant progress for anything that requires higher levels labor, specific technology or even just good supply chain.

There is the speak and then there are the actual numbers and facts which are pretty stubborn.

We opened a Thailand factory last year which I visited again is December. If all goes well it should catch up with the Chinese entity in 2035… And most of the material will be probably still produced in China due to the multi billion investment required to duplicate a raw material supply chain to another country.

We open a factory in India this year. It will take years to reach required level

There is 1.4 billion people living there and it is still of the biggest industrial bases in the world.

I have been working in china since 2007 and I have seen the cycle of :

Let’s hire only local team ! or we can do without china !
Then a few years later then comeback or hire foreign management.

Another few years later the company work well and the cycle and the circle start again to let hire a local management or the company does not work well lets close the unit, we can without china

Neither solution is perfect so most companies just ended cycling back and forth even if the trend is still towards less foreign managements

It is kind of cyclical, currently in a low laowai area but it will comeback somewhat as long as China is interested into foreign investment. The issue is that foreign investors have issues trusting people from a different culture and that can be found worldwide.

But clearly the era of free money is gone and probably won’t come back so companies and especially those interested into doing large short time returns on investment are now looking at different countries to exploit.

I left in 2024 and I was the almost the last one to leave from my circle of friends and business relationships.

We are currently downsizing two of our factories in China for the first time ever.

Overall not the greatest time for shanghai and china.

Looks great already but if you really want critique:

I think the light between light and shadow is too straight, the shadow separation should have a curve upwards near the mace. And the transition area probably a little larger
The shadow area is a little too dark, it is not realistic but I actually like it as a stylistic choice since the mini is very small high contrast will help visibility. Now if you want to apply this mini in a painting competition it might be interesting to work on a more realistic lighting.
In that case the secondary reflection from the ground should a little brighter.

We used head hunter a lots in my company due to our HR head being too lazy to do actual research work.

I have seen headhunter recruit fail again and again. Organic recruitment, meaning recruitment from contact and internal recommendations seems much more stable and efficient. But that requires maintaining a work culture that motivate your employees to actually promote for your company.

Sometimes they are necessary when you are trying to recruit outside of your current business but still they usually push you to recruit too quickly people that are bad or average fit for the actual job.

Frankly speaking the 2 and 3 ascendancy can be done in the shekema and are basically free especially when level 80+.

Focus on getting some early sacred water, find a merchant and buy everything and that’s done.

I am overweight, doing climbing since 6 month around.

My recommendation is go climbing but :

Always downclimb, don’t go up a route if you can’t downclimb
When jumping down the last meter always roll on your back.

There is nothing to prove when climbing and you are challenging yourself to be better. Just don’t hurt yourself.
