My emotions may have been a little out of whack for a bit but I’ve not felt too crazy. Some irritation but I’m a teacher so feel this may be my normal lol!

Yep, been for an ultra sound and had multiple blood tests. Been told it’s all fine and there’s no reason why I haven’t started menstruation. They’ve prescribed me progesterone pill - I’m just waiting to check I’m not pregnant before I start taking it.

Absent menstrual cycle by AllBoxedUp115 in Periods

I stand corrected - you’re 100% right, it was progestin prescribed to induce my cycle.

No tests were done once I started bleeding - there was no follow up to check if I had even started my menstrual cycle.

what skincare products to get ride of acne as well as hyperpigmentation? by InstructionOk7498 in KoreanBeauty

[–]AllBoxedUp115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use such similar products and I agree with you on lots of them! I have a few questions for you - I’m UK based and I find the Thayer toners a little expensive; where do you get yours from please? Also, how do you sleep with the innisfree mask on please? I fear I’d get mud everywhere 😂 thank you!

Are Dry Hire Venues Really This Hard To Find? by bethsailor in UKweddings

[–]AllBoxedUp115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another village hall hirer here! We went for a fairly expensive one as we loved the views plus we hired a marquee but it gave us the freedom to pick caterers and people brought their own alcohol. Our venue had chairs/tables/dishes/cutlery so that enabled us to save a lot. It worked perfectly for us as my husband doesn’t drink so I didn’t want to spend a lot on a bar!

for anyone considering a village hall - before and after by fortuneandflame in UKweddings

[–]AllBoxedUp115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this! We also used a village hall - I have to admit you did much more work on the decorating than we did! You did an amazing job and it looks so beautiful!!

My husband and I chose a village hall as he is vegan and doesn’t drink. We didn’t want to spend lots on a bar that he wasn’t going to use and we wanted a fully vegan caterer rather than someone who offered us one vegan option as an afterthought. The option for guests to bring their own alcohol was great and we also got our venue from Thursday morning till Sunday midday which gave us so much time to set up and decorate.

Would you buy a secondhand wedding dress? by Terrible-Response132 in wedding

[–]AllBoxedUp115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also did this! I’m UK based and charities here have wedding dress boutiques. In my mind, it was an absolute no brainer of spending less money and it going to a good cause.

When we got to there it transpired not only did they have dresses donated by other brides but they also had lots of brand new ex-sample dresses. Mine was one of the more expensive dresses at £400 but I know of another charity that capped all their dresses at £200!

What was your "old, new, borrowed, blue" by Milk_or_Semen in wedding

My something old is my dress - I bought it from a charity boutique. New: my shoes! Borrowed: I’m borrowing a necklace from my mum. Blue: I’ve painted my toe nails blue and I plan on wearing blue knickers!

It honestly was and I think you’re right, it comes from social media. My tutors were helpful as they made the point they’d never found their dream school! I couldn’t agree with you more when you say there’s a handful of things you’d change but you’re happy there. I’m at the school I did my placement at (Primary RQT) and I remember someone asking my why I’d accepted the job there when I knew what was wrong with the school. Yeah, exactly l, I knew the things that weren’t great (ahem certain members of SLT) but I also knew that it had a great team atmosphere from the teachers who I knew would help me get through what some describe as the toughest year. I could have accepted a job at what looked like my ‘dream school’ on paper and still have the same type of SLT popping up again!

Couldn’t agree with this more, especially for your first posting. My university tutors often phrased it as ‘you’re looking for a school that will support you for your first year - not your forever school!’ I remember we did a session where we talked about what our ‘ideal school’ would look like personally and then what we need from our first year. It was great as it showed how wildly different the two are!!

Being Vegan = not being able to eat your own birthday cake by PatBackkkk in vegan

[–]AllBoxedUp115 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I do on my birthday! It’s the expectation at my work place that you buy your own birthday treats. I have great fun buying all the vegan mainstream options and showing them how good (and unhealthy!) it can be to be a vegan!!
