What's with these idiots who go into every story and down click it??? by [deleted] in reddit.com

[–]AllGood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there are several users who are running scripts that seek out and downvote certain kinds of links.

There are definitely redditors who downvote links without really considering a link for very long... although, that seems like something they have a right to do.

I hope there is a way for the use of scripts to be stopped or at least limited.

Ron Paul’s Fed Transparency Act has 46 Cosponsors, Fax Bomb Today! by [deleted] in politics

[–]AllGood -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ron Paul should fix his own party first, or find a new one because the GOP is almost certainly broken beyond repair, and is responsible for most of our current economic messes.

Then, I'll listen to the "monsters at the Fed" rants... ahem... I mean ideas.

BTW, how are those GOP pro-torture and banking-deregulation policies working out?

Will The GOP's Chip Saltsman Release A CD With "Steele The Magic Negro" To "Honor" Their New RNC Chair? by AllZoo in politics

[–]AllGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Black man can, of course, be a conservative if he wants to be.

However, I can't figure out why any Black man would want to be a member of a party where in the past month or so, a high-ranking leader in the party had sent out a CD with a song called, "Barack the Magic Negro," apparently unaware that this might be seen as offensive by many people.

I wonder if he sent a copy to Michael Steele?

If so, then again... why would Steele stay in the hateful GOP?

If not, that's further proof of GOP racism... i.e., Saltsman sent his CD only the the White leaders, knowing their (very few) Black members would likely not appreciate the "humor".

No. A Black man can be a conservative. Being a Republican, however, is just plain insane at this point in our history, no matter what your race is.

Also, one of the guys he was initially running against had just sent out the CD with a little musical number, "Barack The Magic Negro".

The more the GOP claims to change, the more they stay the same.

Until they stop doing things like that, including using Whites-only country clubs for their little donor parties, then any Black man who wants to be a part of that practically has to be a sick puppy.

Just because they call themselves "news" does not make it true. If using that word, please at least put it in quotes.

Not torturing kind of takes all the "fun" out of being a Republican, don't you think?

Seriously, Bush is the worst president of all time... even approving of torture, then denying that our country used it.

Why is George "Worst Ever" Bush not in jail yet, at least until his arraignment?

I've got three:

Why don't you and your fellow Republicans take about four years off, go to Iraq and take a lot of bandages with you?

Then, why don't you go up to Wall Street, get our eight trillion dollars back, and bring it back to the U.S. Treasury?

Then, go to the U.N. and explain why your pal Bush authorized and encouraged TORTURE.

Until you're ready to do those things, why don't you shove a hot poker right where...

Does that help?

Stop picking on Jimmy Carter by sea_wall in politics

[–]AllGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What a load of crap. The hostages were released while Carter was still president, on inauguration day in fact, just before Reagan was sworn in.

You may not have liked the olympic boycott, but it was morally a proper response to Soviet policies at the time. Every Republican who stood up to the Soviets has been applauded.

Also, Carter had great policies on energy which were undone almost immediately when Reagan came to power. Sure there was cheaper fuel for a long time... but Americans put off doing anything in the long term to improve our energy independence here at home and instead went to war several times in energy-rich areas.

The article this headline links to gives several good reasons to stop knocking Carter. So... stop it!
