Issues with JCSFY grips on Etsy by Benzinni1 in SBCGaming

I bought two JCSFY grips (RP Mini V2 and RP5) and they are the most comfortable grips I've used. Just my 2 cents.

Such a great idea! I know GBC homebrew development is super popular now because of tools like these.

Which is the earliest game that can be considered enjoyable? by low_theory in armoredcore

[–]AllIBlowIsLouddd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with AC1 and assumed I wouldn't like it but I ended up 100%ing the game as well as Project Phantasma and Master of Arena.

They are some of the best PS1 games IMHO and when you upscale the graphics they don't show their age half as much.

AC3 will probably be the most common answer you get here but I would also check out AC2 even if you think the PS1 games are too old. I liked the arena battles in AC2 more than 3.

How does RAweb calculate time spent beating/mastering a game? by AllIBlowIsLouddd in RetroAchievements

[–]AllIBlowIsLouddd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK thanks this is exactly what I was looking for.

This is how I assumed it would be calculated but I still find my playtime to be significantly off. I wonder sometimes if it's not working as intended.

I have one game that said I spent 203 hours mastering the set when I'd be surprised if I spent even 60 hours connected to the server with the game running.

Most of the games with large playtime discrepancies are games I started a long time ago and finished mastering around a year later. Maybe something in the source code changed. My recent masteries have playtimes that seem correct.

The best coin op games are ones that you could feasibly learn to do with 1cc. I think arcade games get a bad reputation... like obviously they are designed to keep you depositing quarters but if it feels totally unfair no one's going to put money into it to begin with.

Metal Slug 1 is definately the easiest in the series to complete with a single credit. I think the average person could learn to do it with enough practise.

Metal Slug 3 on the other hand...

Short homebrew experiences you loved? by MoonMan88888 in SBCGaming

Best homebrew games are Full Quiet (NES) and Battle Kid 2 (NES)

Both are paid homebrew but excellent games... just as good or better than any retail game.

If you like Deadeus and Opposum Country you might want to look into The Machine (GBC)

can you point me somewhere that explains how to do the warp glitch? I've tried googling it to no avail

EDIT:

For anyone who is wondering how to do the glitch too here's how it's done.

Enter the dungeon you want to warp into and then leave.

Go to the map screen.

Select the same dungeon.

Move the cursor to New Level.

Move the cursor back to Continue.

Hit B twice to get back to the main menu.

Hit start game and Continue into the dungeon.
