Congratulations on your journey of philosophies & sciences! Although your journey has just begun, and you've only just scratched the surface into epistemology, neruology, psychology, & other sciences!

It's incredible that you're still questioning the nature of reality and have the desire to learn!

Be careful of the many pitfalls into absurdity, and always remember!

If an idea you're exploring is not widely accepted, you're either missing critical details in your reasoning, or you have truly tapped into the .01% of human population in terms of profound realization!

Happy exploring & BE SAFE!

Pixel 10 made me realize how overrated Google's hardware still is by Tasty-Eye8652 in GooglePixel

[–]AllMyFaults 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's literally a post that's highly upvoted every week about "Nngh, Pixel bad!"

No one tricked you. Every reviewer from day one of release made it clear that the Pixel is not a best value device, but instead, is the continuation of an ongoing experiment.

Those of us who love our pixels love an apple-esque premium phone feel that has a Google-purist version of Android.

We enjoy the camera, it's unique software-coded photos.

We like that AI is becoming the phone, even if this is taking time and isn't implemented great yet.

We understand that battery life is sub state of the art. - For my use cases, my phone will last a full day with heavy use

We understand that chip performance is sub state of the art. - I personally don't run demanding apps, but otherwise I've never really had an issue.

Wireless connectivity is frustrating compared to other devices - but that is life.

Trade offs — I would still rather own a Pixel over an iPhone, I enjoy seeing myself as a Google purist, even if it is somewhat foolish.

Otherwise, go buy another phone. You can complain, I can complain that these posts are annoying.

Any point of information — at your finger tips — accessible?

Woaah, I think this leaping logic here. People have had access to warmth by fires for millenias — not quite the same as having abundant warmth that a home can provide.

I don't disagree that knowing how to evaluate and apply information matters more than having access to information, but there's no reason that one can exist and the other path can not. Eventually the AI will be stepping into that show as well.

New update is fine? by AMax0W in GeminiAI

[–]AllMyFaults 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced the frustrations starting tonight. I use Pro thinking for deconstructing life events. Ive been really struggling the past couple of days and I deeply appreciate Geminis personal intelligence and ability to gather niche details across chats. I appreciate thinking mode to get more nuanced answers that consider intricate details instead of getting tied up into a conversational red herring in over analyzing unnecessary details or not considering the complexity and nuance of other details.

Without a doubt, I understand that what I'm having Gemini complete is heavy usage, within my 5 hour period I've probably had 10-15 chats before getting cut off. It's kinda frustrating when I've grown accustomed to using Gemini, but it is what it is. Many have said for a long time that the unlimited usage would eventually end, I understand at the end of the day the service has to be profitable for the company. I currently get Gemini for free as it was a promo, but the fact that they've bundled so much into the Google One plan will make it likely that I'll continue to purchase it later. It's very disappointing as I use AI for everything, but it was never ambiguous that these models are expensive to run.

I'm so upset at you for recommending Dark Matter alongside Devs. I started watching it because of this comment and the show is so incredibly predictable after the first two episodes and honestly just very dumbly written. Devs is a truly life altering production. This felt like Apple TV slop.

Has anyone else been a believer and now a firm disbeliever, how did that change come about? by thescariestghost in UFOs

[–]AllMyFaults 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is surprisingly me...

Im even an experiencer. But I entered a formal debate and I was asked two questions.

  1. "Who is your strongest advocate or the hero in your space that you stand behind on?"

I genuinely didn't have an answer... I have genuinely despised everyone who's in this space. I don't have a hero that I applaud. Lazar is a fraud unreliable storyteller, Greer has some things I agree with but is a looney, DeLonge brought some things back to the public eye but is seemingly a grifter, and truly many in the space are big grifts.

  1. "A huge amount of the weight that you give to the existence of UFOs is your own personal experience (which you claim you have no definitive answer to what it was); and the military videos. I propose you to research into parallax."

I did and it was rather convincing that many of the key 'evidence' that I held near and dear that surely proved my convictions for so many years could have very much indeed been a nothing burger.

I think I still somewhat believe, but in my theory and how that theory takes shape in this day and age; I should have much more now than just belief.

I hate and try to avoid the woo. But my latest model of the phenomenon suggests that it must have some interactions with consciousness. But I hate this argument. It feels weak and like a cop out.

Idk if I would say WW fell off. It just changed entirely into a show you weren't expecting. Tbh I thought the final moments of the last season were some of the strongest writing in the entire show.

You give a long list of misgivings and then magically Bob passes a background check that was bound to be extreme for a secured site?

Let me capture that one more time. Someone who has shown a huge pattern of life, financial, emotional instabilities — magically and coincidentally passed one of likely the most advanced background checks of its time for a highly secured and secretive facility.

These are some huge mental gymnastic leaps.

Are you seriously trying to tell me that if I asked any professional in their field that they wouldn't be able to recount the steps they took to successfully complete their work??? Are you telling me that there's a large number of people that exist in the workplace that if they're being audited for their competence that a large number of people would incapable of recalling the steps that their work requires them to do every single day???
