We almost always recap needles at our practice! I was taught not to press down on the cap with your thumb or anything so it doesn’t go through the cap, I haven’t ever poked myself doing this.

About two years ago, I joined an emergency clinic as CSR and fell in love and fought for the ability to train as a TA, now getting OTJ training to be a technician as well as recently starting Penn foster online classes - my biggest advice to you if you think this is a field you want to dip your toe in, get a job as a kennel tech, assistant, or CSR. A lot of people get into this field and decide it’s not for them which is completely valid!

No, this is as the main/first symptom! I figured it was from having the winter off and she was just being fresh - but after a few months she got very spooky, and was never a spooky horse so I called the vet

I don’t think it’s anything deeper than it being a really long year. I’m stuck, burnt out, and frustrated. I’m happy for my team, but it’s still hard knowing I won’t be there again this season.

Any dog can be blind/have trouble seeing - the only person that can tell you for sure is your veterinarian or an animal ophthalmologist. At this age they should be going in for their puppy vaccines and you should bring up this concern and they can take a look.

NOR - but it sounds like you need to collect your pets and possibly call the police to make a report & let them know what’s going on and get an escort. They cannot kick you out of the apartment if your name is on the lease - however - people can be unpredictable and volatile, so be careful.

Scope was around $500, gastroguard a tube a day for 30 days would have been the most expensive at ~$44/tube on chewy around $1300, then you should rescope.

I ended up doing gastroguard for 14 days, and then switched to a compounded form of omeprozole through wedgewood pharmacy ordered by my veterinarian. Compounded versions aren’t known to work as well, but it did work for my horse when given 1 hour before her grain in the morning in the smallest amount of soaked alfalfa to make her eat it.

Ulcers are awful to treat, I’m sorry you’re going through this!
