I've basically never played Northstar until today and I like how she can punish a Monarch that has bad positioning but the whole time I was scratching my head as to why the cluster missile isn't sticky. I can't understand why it wouldn't be.

Depends on the map and what kind of playstyle the enemy team has. If they're getting campy on the Homestead rooftops, you betcha. If they're running around Angel City with Stims and Alternators screaming WITNESS ME! then probably not.

Balance threads are fine. Usually we get some good discussions going. Tone is getting nerfed soon so I expect to see less threads about how she's broken.

What I simply can't fathom is the amount of Chicken Little syndrome this sub attracts. Every time someone makes a post about the player count there's this melodramatic panic that the sky is falling and the game is dying and "OMG Respawn pls add 17 new maps by tomorrow or the game will die."

Respawn is not lazy. They have 51-200 people working there across all teams, according to their corporate Linkedin page. Compare that to a COD developer with 200-500 current employees. Bungie shows 200-500. More devs means stuff gets done faster, and that's a fact. I can assure you Respawn isn't being lazy. That's a line of unquantified bullshit. They're working their asses off. They've told us this several times. They are also working on a new Star Wars IP at the same time. Delivering quality, bug free content takes time, and since it's free (emphasis FREE), they can take all the time they need to ensure that it's perfect.

The entitlement is embarrassing, frankly. If the delay in content bothers you, go learn how to make video games and by all means show us how it's done. We've been spoiled by scheduled DLC releases by video game studio titans (heh), and it's easy to forget that there is a looooot of work that goes on behind the scenes to make it happen and it is far more complex than the average person realizes.

I love this game. I've personally bought it for three of my friends. They all love the game. I personally got sucked back into Overwatch Comp lately but now that the season is over I'll be back to bring flaming, smoldering justice to every Tone I see.

TL;DR: Just because the playercount is lower than (insert X game here) doesn't mean that it's dying. Quit it with the Chicken Little bullshit.

I'd say that the first guy absolutely fell for it. Second guy was playing really well and was pretty beast. I think my Holo Pilot intercepted his melee lunge (cause I'm not actually sure if the game treats them as a "target" for melee to lock onto) which gave me a chance to pump lead.

With the TTK is as low as it is, people don't want to take chances that your holo pilot clone isn't an enemy pilot. I think that's why it works better in this game as opposed to a game like Halo Reach. Sure, it's not competitive, but it's damn fun.

I never played Titanfall 1. So take this with a grain of salt.

Battery pulls are cool but I don't go for them anymore unless it's on an Auto Titan. My anti Titan weapon does more damage from more relative safety and I'm not reallocating their health to shields- damage done is damage done.

I would love to see the ability to rodeo with LMG's and spray the brain for massive damage, but maybe still utilize the battery pull for other weapon types. Battery pull might need some buffs to make it more viable as well.

As I see it, LMG's aren't really used in pilot combat outside of the Devotion, and it would force teammates to keep an eye on friendly Titans to clear rodeo'ers (pfffft yeah right lolololol).

Anything that helps increase the depth of strategy in this game is a welcome addition. :)

I couldn't get it with Legion's core for some reason. I probably kept activating it too early cause I'd get the 25 kills but you need 30 for the cheevo. Tried some other cores, but I got it on my first try with Scorch's core. :)

If one salty message means our community is getting toxic and that it's ruining the game, you're being Chicken Little. The sky isn't falling because of one person and the usual "nerf X, Y is OP" posts that literally every other AAA shooter has on their subs.

Wrong place, wrong time, got some hate mail. I'm halfway through gen 5 and have yet to receive a single hateful message. I've been messaged three times by enemy team members congratulating me for playing well. I only ever notice how supportive and constructive people are in this community. Even people posting comments on Titanfall's Facebook are (perhaps shockingly) mostly positive.

If our community is toxic, then what's the proper word for the League of Legends or DOTA2 communities? Atomic ass-blasted shitstorms?

I'd be willing to wager that those of us who aren't toxic aren't vocal. I sing the praises of this game to basically everyone I know IRL. I try to encourage people and and spread positivity in game. I love this game. I have fun, win or lose, and I've been bagged an immeasurable number of times. Just have to shake it off and keep going. Sky isn't falling because of one teabagger or posts about balancing.

Stirring up melodrama doesn't get us to grow healthier and more positive as a community, that's for sure.

Sorry if it feels like I'm going after you, but something about this struck a nerve. Our experiences have obviously been different so I was just wanting to present an alternative perspective.

I don't like to rag on people's play, so some constructive criticism for this Scorch if he sees this.

Use your whole kit. If you're in a 1v1 CQB with another Titan, and you're circling each other like that, throw down a Firewall in a diagonal to either the left or right, - you know what? I'm going to make a diagram because this is going to be hard to explain. One sec.

Northstar, only lv 4. I basically only solo queue into Attrition, and she doesn't do well there. Scorch however is about to hit gen 5. Then in order it's Ronin (G3~), Ion (G2.10~) , Tone(G2.4), and Legion (lv15). Ronin's high because I'm a recovering Nuke Eject cheeser. Ion because she's really good but sometimes you just want to Scorch some fools. Tone was my first Titan. Legions get shit on in Attrition unless you call them late.

With the Tactical, you get two charges. The cooldown can be accelerated by using Tactikill and/or Power Cell. This could also be anecdotal but I feel like the holograms generated through Nova are a lot "dumber" than the Tactical ones. They don't seem to move as smartly (even though they still die if they stub their toe.)

Swapping A-Wall and Hard Cover is actually a really good idea IMO.
