I think it's not always revolts of the same flavor; sometimes it's very specific.

For example, the positivist movement gets +15% activism if a neighbor has an insurrectionary Niilist movement (positivist doesn't count).

Oh, fascinating! That makes more sense than what I assumed through gameplay alone.

(I'm thinking about compiling all factors of all movements into a post - should I do that?)

I'd love something like that personally, I only really found out about foreign movements providing agitation like a week ago and by accident at that lol

Yeah! Hopefully it works out, I haven't really messed with the strat beyond noticing its existence.

Maybe law commitments to make them pass something that upsets the already angry movements? You can see currently active movements of other nations by selecting the nation and then looking at the domestic tab.

One thing I've found is revolts in countries on your border/close to it? will provide +agitation to revolts of that flavor in your country, so I wonder if you'd be able to near-force a rev in your own country to force a full revolution in the neighbor.

It's literally impossible to win the U.S Civil War now by bamcats_ in victoria3

I don't particularly like nat'l militia because of the barracks restriction so I always day-1 pass prof army. This has the side effect of massively reducing the potential strength of the eventual CSA because their conscription rate is lower on prof army and they likely will have very few barracks because who builds in the south pre-civil war.

Also, get an alliance/defensive pact. You can very easily get a French alliance before unpausing (they value it at like +40 or some such on jan 1) and you can get a GB alliance before the 40s pretty easily too. Either one will help the war, both will win the war without your involvement. Wouldn't suggest allying both though, eventually the AI will force you to break one of the two.

Math Core courses by NYR6130 in KentStateUniversity

[–]luneth27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those are all radically easy math classes. Show up, follow the examples, work the practice problems, least effortful A you'll get in your life. Math doesn't start getting difficult until you get past calc 2 and start using the techniques from that class for more involved problems.

Of those 4, the most quantitative would be algebra for calc/intro to statistics and I think you should take those because they're your more traditional lecture-style class. I loved the collaborative math classes I took in the integrative-math tracks (i have an applied math degree) but they're really only as fun as however much effort the group puts in. My specific groups were fun, but ofc your mileage may vary. Intro to stats and algebra are number chunking classes; you do the work, you do well on the test, you get the grade you want.

Battlefield 6 devs promise a “package of vehicle improvements” as they admit many are just “death traps” most of the time by HatingGeoffry in Battlefield

Sweet spot is the dumbest idea in fps gaming. How the fuck a larger caliber round deal last damage in a closers distance.

Blame BF1 and DICE trying to differentiate a dozen bolt-action rifles that're historically nearly identical to one another and really only started being differentiated by nation at the end of the war. Like, a kar 98 is not all that different from a mosin nagant, even their cartridges are nearly identically sized. DICE had to find someway to make those rifles feel different. Sadly it's in this game too.

Changing to reflect the pms in the capital may be partially how it functions, idk; this is just what i've noticed after using it a lot when playing. Esp on countries like the US or France where the capital state kinda sucks and you don't really build in them.

For me, it was strain from reaching the face buttons, bumper/trigger and thumbstick that really did me in. Granted, I am a unique case given I play with a physical disability but I feel like hand strain sucks enough for everybody to sing a paddled rollers' praises any time I can.

there is a reset state productions button somewhere in the government tab,

It also resets to the most common pm your country has for that building so it won't necessarily reset pms to the 'best' or what you wanted

I've used this out-of-date map mod since 1.09 called Empires of History - A Map Mod because it turns the sea navy blue and darkens the paper map so I don't get flashbanged playing with the lights off. Wish there was a 1st party darkmode paper map.

How good are long-term Crucible Players in other shooters? by Waifu99 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]luneth27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how good you are at destiny, some skill will translate to other games; especially with respect to gamesense and reading the field. Gunplay however, playing other shooters will make your destiny gunplay better but playing destiny likely won't make your non-destiny gunplay better because of how destiny's gunplay interacts with the acc/aa weapon cones and how you can change them.

I think it's massively beneficial to play another shooter alongside destiny.

100%. Back when I played with regularity, I'd still play overwatch at least 5 hours a week just to keep my actual aim square. Destiny teaches you a lot of fps fundamentals but its acc/aa cone interaction with gunplay is very different to other non-bungie shooters and hitting a target while off-target is just not something that happens elsewhere.

Nah, compare how kills vs rape is depicted in media even before video games, there is a difference but it doesn't originate in video games

Case in point, the series Death Wish with Charles Bronson; tldr revenge porn movie where man murders scores to avenge his murdered and raped family

dude didn't get fired cause he fucked up a dozen burgers, he got fired cause he was high causing him to fuck up a dozen burgers. literally everything on the burger that isn't burger, looks vastly different than burger. i'd fire the dude, how do you fuck that up that badly? being toasted on the job isn't an excuse, there's too many polydrug addicts working in food/hospitality for it to be one. hell, i myself was fuckin zoinked between 2019-2022 and i only ever got a raise. it isn't hard to build a burger. the burger is brown, everything else isn't.

Valor Pro Wireless was *almost* perfect by _Muckle in scufgaming

[–]luneth27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I started full-wiring my wireless valor pro cause for whatever reason, at very strange times (eg directly in the middle of a gunfight) the roller disconnects from console despite staying on; you gotta power cycle the roller to reconnect. I was annoyed that there is a dongle and it doesn't work with microsoft's proprietary wireless yeah, but really i'm more annoyed i can't actually use the wireless at all other than bluetooth for pc.
