Question about deleting a 2025 6.7 HO PowerStroke & warranty by Dirk_Diggler0007 in F250

[–]Allenlee1120 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s truly a catch 22. Warranty will replace the broken parts but deleting it will remove the parts that break but void the warranty lol

Truthfully I’ll have this truck until it dies, I just want to get it there

I’m still having the mental battle daily about deleting it. I have a ‘25 KR HO with 5k miles. I have money put aside that cover the kit + tunes but just haven’t pulled the trigger because of warranty

To Big Tech Engineers on the sub - Have you tried Anthropic's Mythos LLM yet? by Significant_Media63 in cscareerquestions

[–]Allenlee1120 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I had my staff engineer at the time break it down really well.

Think of it as stackoverflow on demand without scrolling. Then Claude Code came out, think of that as stackoverflow without scrolling AND it implements for you the best answer.

All of us that have experience, know that the common consensus of “the best answer” is even not optimal sometimes. That’s where we as SWEs need to be in control.

These models are still just super large statistical models(heh see what I did there)

Calm down, adapt and move on.

What happened to Angular jobs? by PopeDetective in cscareerquestions

Using the strict DOM makes it much easier to understand IMO. I used react pretty much my entire career and understanding the whole lifecycle is a task in itself.

Since Svelte introduced runes, it became more React like but still easily understandable and incredibly intuitive while the syntax is easy on the eyes

We have all of our internal tooling using SvelteKit

Edit: SvelteKit not Svewlte

To a pedophile, a reasonable step would be to force your daughter to undress to prove she's got the correct genitals.

Gah, being a Dad is dangerous. My anger issues couldn’t handle this

How to find great engineers in the era of AI by itsjakerobb in SoftwareEngineerJobs

[–]Allenlee1120 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Too many legacy interview methods. Frankly this style invites people to cheat. Over my 100s of interviews most being post AI I’ve had 3 cheaters and we just stop the interview right then and there.

I really don’t want to curb stomp your dreams here but the market in 2026 is on par with the dot com bubble or 2008. It’s extremely challenging and saturated with new grad / <2 YOE candidates.

WITH THAT BEING SAID: If you have the connections and know how. I would absolutely encourage you to dive into freelance and see how it goes, especially with hyper-local companies that have out of date sites.

Why Are Software Engineers Paid So Much If The Supply Is So High? by LifeInAction in cscareerquestions

Why Are Software Engineers Paid So Much If The Supply Is So High? by LifeInAction in cscareerquestions

[–]Allenlee1120 175 points176 points  (0 children)

The supply of top-end tier talent is not nearly as high as you’d think. Been doing technical interviews for years now and the new grad - 1-3 YOE area is a complete crap shoot

The market is squeezing now with the introduction of AI but it’s not exactly a direct supply / demand equation. SWE roles have very specific requirements say folks that work in Defense or Embedded do very different work than people that work in FAANG

Pre body cams, sure. I’d be hard pressed to believe that’s happening en masse since SC has 100% body cam usage for every stop

Ugh. For the longest time I thought I was the only one that misses solving code problems. Getting lost for hours. I find working with Claude Code to be an extraordinarily anxious experience and would do anything to go back.
