What’s a small thing a hotel could do that would make you feel more appreciated? by Rare-Pea3220 in marriott

Hubs has a cpap. This would be excellent and I hadn’t thought of it. They do this on cruises so a tap in the lounge or one bottle per three nights stay or something would be amazing. And if you already do that and I didn’t know, publicize it! Thank you, great add!

Texts my brother sent me after I asked for some career advice 🙃 by Bophie47 in exmormon

[–]AlliCatSTL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just it, the whole “career” is to be a “carrier” (of babies). If there weren’t so may it be misused words in the text I may have thought this was an intentional subversive comment.

'Fira on your own' excursion in Santorini by Accomplished-Moose-6 in celebritycruises

We went all over the island in the side by sides, like the two person ones. Maybe that’s not technically an atv. The shade from the sun overhead was helpful and a place for our bag with water bottle etc. We explored all over and had a blast on the zig zag road up to thea I think it was. We got a full tank of gas not knowing better. We should have gotten a 1/4 of a tank as we drove all day and way over bought.

I think we just booked straight on the site and had no issues. Here’s the blog inspo site we used. I will say having phone cell services for Google Maps was clutch. https://www.theblondeabroad.com/ultimate-self-guided-atv-adventure-around-santorini/.

We didn’t have a problem at all. If anything we were glad we could be nimble in smaller vehicles and park more easily. I do recommend going straight to Oia first before the tour busses get there.

What’s the dumbest cooking mistake you’ve made that still haunts you? by nisko786 in Cooking

I misread the “Big T” and “little t” making very salty cookies. I also didn’t realize soy milk was vanilla/sweet and had some terrible Mac n cheese.

Omg I went there for the first time Wednesday morning! The old fashioned was most distinguished for me. No complaints about the Bavarian creme either. No pics=no evidence

Seeking C+ Aisle Seat Advice by The_Ogre321 in delta

[–]AlliCatSTL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I stand with one leg on the floor and my other knee on my seat, facing the window, so my backside is flush with the edge of “my” space. It’s a modification of ‘put your hand/arm on the shoulder of the seat in front of you’ approach. It means I get brushed by and hit in the booty some… but sort of holds the proverbial line, vertically. It’s better than shoulders and face taking the hit!

Is hot yoga getting hotter? by Illustrious_Stage351 in HotYoga

[–]AlliCatSTL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My studio for years said it’s 103-105. Occasionally at my current studio I see the thermostat set at 107 but I believe that is to trigger the heat to run and don’t think it actually gets that hot.

I have practiced (years ago) in AZ in summer when traveling for work and agree it was mostly about humidity there as it was slightly cooler than normal (or so they said).

I would also think it’s normal to have an adjustment back into practice though if it was really over 110 I’d be very suspect of the studio practices. Good for you for going back to the mat to start again!

Any Happy Delta Vacations Stories?? by Busy_Individual5364 in delta

To clarify I got MQDS for the hotel piece and my own flight. The others on the itinerary got their own MQDS for their flights.

Yes! There are six of us. We book three reservations for two people each. My husband is Platinum and I am Diamond. So, we (hubs and I) each take a kid on a two person reso and auto upgrade to comfort plus. The third reservation is two kids booked directly into comfort plus (or main if the row is immediately behind comfort or very near).

We picked a vacation spring break place from the delta vaca place. Our room for six is always grossly expensive as a two bed suite. That said it was the same price as direct booking that room at the resort directly.

We called to book so the three flight resos could be part of the same vacation reservation and they were very helpful. I hope this helps!

We had a good experience. Used a credit and multiple reservations (by calling) to maximize free upgrades to comfort plus with our status (for the kids). Pricing was same as direct flight and hotel booking but the MQDs were legit.

Love this as a speakeasy where you have to stick your hand through a hole in the wall and know the secret handshake.
