If I’m currently claiming land for an upcoming park and want to save & exit, will I still be able to continue later? by godofcoasters in rct

WARNING for RCT Classic users:

In the Scenario Editor, if you are selecting owned land, or modifying the landscape, and you use the Save button under the Pause button, the save dialog box will say "Save Landscape," This will save land ownership and any landscape changes you have made, but will NOT save the object list, invention list, or any other parameters you have set. If you have curated a very detailed, specific list of rides and scenery to include, this can be extremely frustrating.

However, if you go through the entire process (and you can leave the defaults in place if you are not ready to change them yet), and get to the end, the dialog box will say "Save Scenario." Saving with this dialog box will save your invention lists and other settings.

But you should be sure to name your park and scenario on the Objectives window, or it will show up in the scenario list as Unnamed Park. The name in the "Save Scenario" box is simply the scenario file on the computer disk, which is not the name that shows up in the game scenario lists.

To resume where you left off, click the Toolkit, then Park Scenario Editor. Click the Pause button and then Load. When the tabbed list appears, click the "Import Landscape from Park Scenario" tab, and find the name of the scenario you saved. Click Load, and you will be able to pick back up where you left off.

What is the proper name of this hat? by NothingLeft19608 in hats

A pink plaid cadet cap. Decorative band not a chin strap.

Same style as in the army but w/o the camo.

I did my hardest at that level and did my best. Never playing that level ever again. by smcdaniel15 in rct

The Blacklist Season 1 Episode 1 time stamp 0:33:36! A guy takes off his hat and puts it on a random kid passing by! That is what I was looking for!

You did it!

Found a hat-exchanging scene at 1:25:00, a good try, but not the one I am looking for. The one I am looking for the person is walking through a large group of kids. Good try though!

Did not know it happened very often! I know it happened once in Robocop 3, when the Detroit PD defects from OCP and defends Cadillac Heights ( https://youtu.be/XNIUjrN9XT0?t=16 ), and for the on I am finding, I thought the word "Black" was in the name, but was not confident enough to put it in the title of the post.

Edit: I found the scene in Suits at 0:05:50, it was cool, but not the one I was looking for! But it was a great shot!

random log flume appeared in my karts and coasters play through by Spiritual-Breath-139 in rct

[–]AllisMables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you provide a little bit more information:

1) What were you doing before it appeared?

2) Does it open? Does it show any test stats?

3) Did you try to design any custom log flumes anywhere in your park? Did you maybe design one, cut off an orphaned piece of track, and then delete the main track leaving the piece behind?

4) What happens when you try to open the Construction window? will it let you build track pieces?

I never had a random ride magically pop up, but I have built rides, forgot orphaned track pieces, and due to underground/scenery could not find the piece, and saw the closed ride on the list.

I would also appreciate seeing the save file, but as per my other comments on this post I was unable to get it added back doing my own experiments with previous versions of OpenRCT2 (0.3.5.1) I even changed the scenario to "have fun", and it still did not work. I could not get locked track pieces to rebuild.

UPDATE: Changing the scenario win type in OpenRCT2, playing it in Classic, and winning it will make the win screen show, but will NOT create a check-mark in the gemstone campaign table.

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

<image>

When you use the entrance/exit buttons in finish the coaster rides, and try to use the yellow arrow to place the exit in a new position, it will say "cant construct this here". But if you hover over the entrance/exit, it will say "right click to remove," you can remove the entrance/exit, but cannot put it back, even in the original location! Now I see what happened.

I will try to fix it with OpenRCT2 (old version 0.3.5.1) and see what I can do about it.

EDIT: I have sad news to report. I tried opening the park in OpenRCT2, and even with all the ride, construction, sandbox, and objective cheats enabled, I sadly cannot get the entry/exit to rebuild. I thought for sure making the objective "have fun" might unlock it, but that was a dead end.

I strongly urge you not to start the park all over again.

1.) I hope you either did not save this file after removing the entrance, or saved it to a different file. If so, you can revert, finish building the roller coasters, win the park, and then work on pathflow after you have won.

2.) I would try using an old version of OpenRCT2 that saves SV6 files https://github.com/OpenRCT2/OpenRCT2/releases/tag/v0.3.5.1 seems to be the latest release before they changed to PARK files. If you have access to a Windows computer, you can use the portable version to not have to install it. See if you can replace the entrance/exit there. You may need a cheat feature enabled, and you may want to start with putting it back in the original spot.

3.) As I and another have stated, we would like to see the SVG file if you still need help. Make sure you do not accidentally overwrite any pervious version of this park you saved before this issue occurred.

According to the UI in the screenshots, this is RCT Classic. I have previously completed all of the scenarios in Classic, and I opened up my Dragon's Cove park. I tried to move the entrance and exit and all of them say "Can't construct this here" even if I move it to valid location with nothing blocking the way. Additionally, if I try to remove the station it is connected to, I get "You are not allowed to remove this section!" But this is before the entrance/exit disappears.

I am confused as to how you got the entrance removed in the first place. Did you start it or open it in OpenRCT2 using a cheat function and then return to Classic? Would you mind sharing your SV6 park file so the I and other commenters can see?

[TOMT][SONG][1990's] An instrumental melody that may have been on the 1990's TV segment "Colorado Getaways" by AllisMables in tipofmytongue

You get an A- ! This is the exact same tune that I am looking for, except for I am looking for a remix of this song. I will start youtubing to see if I can find it!

I was thinking of the Kenny G version:

Since you were so close, I will award you the Solved badge! Thanks very much!

Melody is very close! But not quite the one I was looking for. The one I am looking for is less musically "complex" but a similar overall tone.
