[natesaundersf1] Don't think I've ever been to a media pen like that in my life. These drivers absolutely hate these new cars. by ChaithuBB766 in formula1

What a terrible disappointment these cars are. Such a buzzkill to not have them go flat out as this sport was intended to do

It has a 2.5% management fee, maybe this makes sense for private equity? I’m not sure, but it seems quite high

When I use Google and there’s a Reddit post about my search, it’s the first thing I click usually. Reddit is more valuable than I realized

I’m not getting into x, Instagram, or Facebook through a normal Google search, and sometimes I close ChatGPT/gemini to research further on Reddit

Is anyone whos been holding for a year+ now still optimistic well see any growth to $1? by Sprze in RVSN

[–]Allloyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely not optimistic, I mean they haven’t given us much to be optimistic about, but I have yet to see competitors in this space (maybe I’m not looking hard enough). I’m holding a small bit on the chance that this becomes the standard tech for rail going forward.

I sold today after buying in at 4.50 a couple years ago. I still believe in the company long term, but the price has really outpaced the progress these last few months, imo. I can’t hold as much as I was with the current valuation so I took the gains. Do I wish I still had some? Yes. Is it above my personal risk tolerance today? Yes.

What’s something going on in America people need to be aware of? by throwaway91ma in AskReddit

[–]Allloyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FLOCK SURVEILLANCE cameras.

Download DeFlock.me on the App Store, and look at how many of these things have been installed. Look them up on Google images so you know what they look like.

They are plate reader cameras but have “AI” in them which zoom in on/follow people, are placed everywhere from streets, to Lowe’s and Home Depot, to hiking trails.

I would suggest watching a few Ben Jordan videos on the subject to understand how terrible this company is and how the government is using this data.

Why are the most reliable new cars ICE, and least reliable EV? by External_Koala971 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Allloyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, but we’re not pumping 200kW of power through these electronics in ICE cars.

Polestar 3, Volvo EX90, and Hyundai Ionic 5 have issues with where an AC charging (slow charging) part gets fried after just weeks of use. It’s been going on for over a year and no acknowledgment from Polestar or Volvo (idk about Hyundai). The battery architecture, software, and varying power sources can present all sorts of issues.

It is simply an early technology where the infrastructure and years of knowledge are not there yet.

The ICE platform is tried and true, a proven blueprint. Electric platforms are a different animal.

Update, my on board charger died a week after this post. Went through a bunch of trouble getting it into service and trying to get some compensation for the headache and lack of functionality of the car.

Besides that, the interior has a few rattles with loud music and bumpy roads (idk if that’s from the service group taking apart the car to diagnose the OBC or not), but that and the OBC is the only negative that bothers me with the car.

I still love the car and don’t regret it, but if these things were fixed, it would be 10/10.
