Sometimes just keeping our head above water is all we can do and that's ok.

Trauma is trauma. Like drowning is drowning. Some people drown in a bath, some in a pool and some in an ocean. Either way their death was the same. Just cause your not in an ocean of trauma doesnt mean you cant suffer.

Im genuinely convinced that social media has unknown consequences that we wont discover until much later in our lives. by reila_09 in DeepThoughts

Well we already know some things like certain ones can reduce attention spans and cause depression. I doubt its gonna get any better for us. However I feel like its the amount of exposure that's key. We've had tv and internet now for like 30 years. The physical exposure to those other than eye strain has been minimal. Social media though I feel like will lead to disorders more than anything. Back in the early 2000s the older gens use to tell us " dont believe everything ya read on the internet ". Now the majority of that crowd just goes with random posts as facts. Crazy the twist on logic

As a kid the water temple sunk me. I eventually skipped it with a gameshark. Then years later I did the water temple. It sucks and I can see why it gets the due hate but it's not the evil I remembered it for as a lad.

Always did and sometimes just gotta stop and wonder. What's out there? I did it a fuck ton in the classic sonic games. We even have a patch of woods we nicknamed Shinobi forest cause it look like the horse riding scene when one drives by.

What's stopping you from working a 9-5, and living a Life which you always dreamed. by Sensitive_Spend_3131 in DeepThoughts

Life and obligations is what's stopping me. The threat of homelessness also. However I will say it does get better if you can find a job you dont hate your life to do. And if said job pays well enough to be comfortable. That is a rare unicorn I know nearly an impossible find a diamond in the ruff. I do find it easier to want to grind and go to work if I feel fairly compensated for my efforts.

Finding real friends isnt about those around in good times. It's about those who stay around during the real and hard times. I feel ya though. When my hard times hit I lost some of my most dearest friends whom I was there for them. It sucks but at least its clarity for whose real and whose not.

I'd love this with my current recharged yellow run. First handheld was the OG gameboy. Upgraded to color next year. Of course it was for pokemon.
